When I try to post something I get this error:

I was getting timeout errors.

This didn't happen before yesterday's hacking issues, so I'm wondering what could have changed on either the server's side or mine. Basically any time I middle-click on a link to open on different tab, I'm not connected in my account there. This happens to all links on Lemmy, both on Blahaj and also on other instances.

Its not really a gamebreaking bug, but its quite annoying.

Since the whole issue with the instances being compromised I have not been able to log into my account on this instance. I have tried multiple browsers, incognito/private mode, apps, tried clearing out all cache and cookies in each browser to no success. No error code is given, when I hit login it will spin for a moment before changing back to a login button. Nothing else happens.

I've tried changing my password and when I do it lets me log in, but the next time I navigate or refresh it signs me out.

Any idea of what is happening? I did check and my account still exists and all. Just can't sign into it.

Edit: Tried on liftoff and a toast shows up saying API exception, record not found.

I have a process which copies emojos from the hajkey blahaj.zone site to our lemmy.

Last night (for me) it copied an invalid emojo into the database and it broke lemmy for hours while Ada and I were sleeping.

I've found the issue and fixed it now, so everything should be purring along once again, but for those who were left without the instance to use, I sincerely apologise.

Hello! I know things have been very chaotic over the last day with that XSS vulnerability and whatnot, and I'm grateful about the speedy fix implemented by the admins. However, I seem to still be having some issues with logging in to lemmy.blahaj.zone, or even viewing the website in a browser.

When this lemmy instance came back online after the hack, I could log in just fine last night, but this morning and all day since then, my apps cannot find the instance, or are reporting that my login is not correct. I'm using a password manager, so it is not user error in typing in my info.

So far clearing my cache and cookies has not been successful in allowing me to view or log into the instance on chrome, or jerboa for android. Seems like I can post to this community, when logged in to a different instance.

Is anybody else having these difficulties? I would appreciate any advice you all might have. Thank you!

Lemmy had an XSS vulnerability and we were one of the instances attacked through this vulnerability. We had our homepage replaced by a youtube video.

The lemmy devs were quick to create a PR for this issue and we have patched our instance to fix it,

Also while I do not believe any login tokens were compromised, we have taken the additional measure of rotating our secret key, so everyone will have to login to the site again as your existing credentials will no longer be valid.

If login fails to work properly, you may have to clear your cookies for the site... it seems to get confused about whether you're logged in or not.

I've noticed on both the website and apps I'm on, the hot/active feed still hasn't refreshed. Is this just an issue on my end?

I personally am quite against it. I joined Lemmy to stay away from the toxicity on Meta's platforms. I don't want any corporate bodies on the fediverse either and possibly doing to the fediverse what Google did to XMPP

I've heard some people use that word so describe Lemmy users.

The Mastodon instances that I'm a member of have all preemptively defederated and I am very supportive. Just occurred to me we could still see the threads folks over here. What do you guys think? How does this instance feel about Meta?

This community is for discussions specific to the lemmy.blahaj.zone instance, but it seems like we get lots of comments from other instances who have no real stake in the matter. I imagine the vast majority are well-meaning people who just don’t really understand federation well yet and don’t understand they’re commenting on a totally different instance’s internal matter.

I wonder if it would be possible to make this community read-only for non-Blahaj Zone accounts? And if it’s possible, does anyone else (on this instance 😉) think it’s a good idea?

I have created a secondary account in this instance and soon realized I was having issues with posts displays. Curiously, I wasn't able to see any of the admins and several communities I browse with my main.

At first I though this was something about updating my settings or the account being too 'new', but I soon realized that several people have been posting with different language settings and that the default "Undetermined" is acting as a filter.

Both Ada and Kaity can't be seen in the first mode, and I assume the same would go for anyone that uses the same setting as them.

Hi! It looks like the Hot and Active feeds aren't updating, at least for me. I was under the impression that a PR that fixed that got merged with 0.18.1, so I'm wondering if it's some other issue?

Does anyone know what might be happening; are the admins aware of the issue?
