As spotted by Windows Central, though, Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco later went into additional detail on Discord. Following a community manager's statement dismissing speculation the studio had been "paid by Sony", Greco shared his own frustrations relating to the delay. "You can ask Xbox why they haven't answered us for two months," he wrote. "Obviously they don't care about Enotria and they don't care about you... We've Xbox Series X/S version ready, but we can't proceed with submission and release, I spent a lot of money for porting and they decided to ignore us."

A similar statement also appeared on Enotria's X/Twitter feed. After a fan inquired about the "main challenge" holding up release, Jyamma wrote, "Communication with Xbox. The game works fine on Series S and X but we cannot go through the submission process and they can take even two months to reply to us."

Greco later shared a little more on the issue the studio had enountered, explaining it was unable to open Enotria's Xbox store page and submit the game - something Microsoft's support teams reportedly initially took responsibility for, before further communications were ignored. "We really want to release the game on Xbox ASAP," Jyamma added elsewhere, "but with lack of communication on their side it is a hard task indeed."

The suggestion seems to be things might be resolved pretty quickly if Jyamma could get a response from Microsoft, but in the meantime, Enotria: The Last Song will only be available for PlayStation 5 and PC when it launches on 19th September.

The game is Sea of Thieves. Me and a friend did a Skeleton Camp, and after getting the treasure from the room in the screenshot above (worth 20k), we were attacked by these guys who rammed us. They sank our ship before we could get back on, so i spawned the ship back in, raced to pick up my friend. Then i sailed past the outpost, my friend jumped off to sell it while i sailed away as a distraction. Then once all our stuff was sold we hit anchor and attacked them. For a galleon manned by 2 guys, i think we did really well. We still lost but they took on a ton of water and after they sank our ship we went for the old bucket strategy and started filling it with water. It was a lot of fun. Whoever that crew was i owe them thanks for giving us an adventure.

I have a question(s) regarding the various types of game controllers.

I need a wireless controller which supports PC (Steam Linux mainly and maybe Windows someday). While searching online, I see various types

  1. xbox/ps5/switch controllers : These are for their respective consoles
  2. Mobile/PC controllers : These usually connect via wire/bluetooth/2.4 GHz

Source: https://www.gamesir.hk

However, I see in the product specifications page of the console controllers that they also support PC. And the PC controllers sometimes support some of the consoles. The only real difference between controllers, from a technology perspective, is that is some of them support bluetooth/2.4 GHz.

So I have two questions:

  1. If they are already cross-compatible, why even bother having different types?
  2. How should I decide which type of controller I should buy? It should support PC, console-support is not essential.

Note: I am a novice in game controllers but aware of different network stacks.

Edit: Thanks for the amazing response! These are my key takeaways from all the comments

  1. Hall-effect sensors are a must
  2. Default console controllers usually have stick drift
  3. If you need trackpad, take PS5
  4. 8bitdo is a reliable brand, as per multiple responses
  5. Most controllers have good support on Linux. But haptic feedback can be a hit/miss as it can be platform/game dependent
  6. There are various connectivity wireless standards. Dongles are the most reliable but you lose a USB port.
  7. Keep track of handsize/comfort and button layout
  8. PS controllers have excellent support on Linux/Steam

A friend asked me to see how well Watch_Dogs runs on Steam Deck for them. I booted it up today and ended up just spending all day driving around the city and fleeing from the cops for destroying stuff. I took this Screenshot after doing one of the few missions i did. I took it in the Loop section I believe.

I can't stop playing Sabacc, it's so addictive that I've gambled all my money away on several occasions. It's not been often I get so invested in a mini-game.

rdr2 question (lemmy.world)
submitted 6 days ago by cedarmesa@lemmy.world to c/games@lemmy.world

Finally bought this on the steam sale, playing on steamdeck. Im all about open world games where you can do whatever you want. I hate being locked into "missions", escort quests, etc. I like a game having these as an option to do at my leisure however. Im several hours in and the environment looks amazing, would love to go explore it....... Am I still in an extended tutorial and the game cuts me loose to do what I please at some point or is the game just a series of missions forever? Also is there some sort of open world mode outside of story mode. Thank you, i love each and every one of you.

I never played this game but I watched gameplays on youtube and I must say without insulting someone who like it that I don't like it because it looks like unfinished game to me compared to other games in terms of graphics.

So figured I'd add some content to this sub, and what better to start off from the very beginning of the game, a close-up of our main girl, Kay Vess.

I was worried about visual details, after hearing and seeing some pre-release content. But damn, the detail quality is just insane!
