@picard@mas.to @I_Like_Books@strangeobject.space @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone @dana@lemmy.blahaj.zone I definitely CAN reply in #Lemmy, only not to replies made in #Calckey or #Mastodon, because for some reason lemmy just spins forever and never posts the reply in those cases. But it definitely works fine replying to the original lemmy post, and to replies made in lemmy.

@emi @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone I'm still a bit confused about Matrix. Not sure I understand correctly, but I think for your messages to be properly secure you have to run your own matrix server at home. Open servers are more for testing it out?

@toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone I agree with Lemmy Toni. This made me laugh. :blobcat_giggle:

@ada @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone (Replying with Calckey account because Lemmy seems to have a bug where it won't successfully reply to a reply left with Calckey, it just spins forever) You have my sympathies, had a bit of a deep dive myself.

@dana @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone Okay, your attachments don't show up in Lemmy, just the links to the original uncombined source images. And in Calckey they appear to have been converted into webm format, which is useless. I managed to take screenshots of them and upload those, so I can check this off as done for now. If I trimmed the screenshots incorrectly we can always fix that later by re-uploading.

@picard@mas.to @dana@blahaj.zone @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone I had that problem on the Lemmy site too. Is why I replied here instead. I should probably report it as a bug to @ada or @supakaity but I suspect they already know.

@picard@mas.to @dana@blahaj.zone @toni@lemmy.blahaj.zone I think the description boxes I've seen in some other communities are quite long and detailed. We can keep the description to highlights and put the rest in a pinned post thread though, so fire away!

Hey @dana, this is the first post for the group. The url for the group is https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/c/stop_russia

I think we need to get this set up before sharing more widely.
