Few years ago I had Feddit.social as one of the first tihi! I closed at the time because of the trouble with the build-in filters that now have been removed and optional
Haha.. this is kinda dumb and sparks joy 🥲
Ah.. that’s wrong. It’s a different story when the admins/staff are actively supporting this but I don’t believe that’s the case
Instances could also remove, ban & purge that remote community to be done with it 👌🏻
Well, with that you are also NOT welcome on Geddit.
We blocked and removed that 'community' indeed..
Most welcome 😜 im also keeping an close eye on the Release Canidates! Currently it's in v8 from this morning but captcha doesn't work unfort
There are some issues with the 0.18 release.. The captcha is not ported yet if im right and thats waiting for spam to happen
Yes, this is a big issue currently going on..
Enabeling captcha should fix the issue. Email alone not since they will abuse the email service
I don’t think this is allowed with the license
We on Geddit use the /legal page for donation links 🥰
I can reply from our Lemmy instance :-) I think it depends on how you post certain things. But mostly it's public I guess
Mastodon and other Fediverse software have more options if it comes to privacy
If this where to happen, my guess is it's the same as Mastodon and many other platrforms that are also microblogging!
For example, if you "mention" a community from Mastodon within a post the post will show up on that community. Here's an example I just posted from Mastodon to Lemmy: https://geddit.social/post/183439
