I'd posit that a core part of the trans experience is being able to have authority over how you wish to be refered to, actually.

I've really got to go to conventions more, I hear of so many novel things going on.

Hey there, c/Fallout! We over on c/FalloutMods have just created our second Monthly Modding Megathread, and I would love if you came over to check us out. Have a great day! :)

cross-posted from: https://lemmy.blahaj.zone/post/22667719

Hello, c/FalloutMods. March seems to have snuck up on me, and so I present you with our second Monthly Modding Megathread! Feel free to discuss armor mods that you love, or have simply struck your fancy. Below are a few recommendations by myself to start you off.

Fallout 4

One modder who I just cannot escape finding in my mod lists is Niero, and especially their 'CROSS' series of mods. And in my opinion, few come close to their Institute armor designs, such as their CROSS Institute Expeditionary Suit

For those of you with a more 'vanilla' persuasion, we've got you covered with modders such as PrincessAries, who has made a beautiful set of armors by putting together pre-existing meshes. I personally quite like the Minutemen Enforcer Armor which implements some armor from Fallout: London in a vanilla-friendly design.

Fallout: New Vegas

If you're like most New Vegas players, there's just something about the older games that appeals to you, and it seems no one would agree more than TPOl7uHKA, who has made beautiful redesigns of classic armors such as their Classic Brotherhood Combat Armor. If you are modding Fallout: New Vegas, I cannot implore you enough to give these mods a look.

And finally, for a blast from the past, Sweet6Shooter has created a fantastic re-implementation of nivea's wonderful Spice of Life armor collection. Using New Vegas' over decade-long learned lessons and innovations, Spice of Life Overhaul is absolutely worth your eye!

And that's going to be all from me tonight, folks. Please feel free to discuss any mods you want heard, and I'll be seeing you next month. :)

Deimos Art has been making some beautiful Fallout: New Vegas artworks recently, here's just one of my favorites :).

I absolutely recommend checking their work out, or even consider buying a print at https://deimosart.com/!

(Repost because I think my last one didn't work)

Given the recent Proton controversy, I imagine quite a few people are trying to jump ship on their services. I myself was already in the process of something similar for different reasons, and looking over the services I believe addy.io to be a better fit for me than simplelogin (or Eforw, which I haven't heard much about in general, but I have a membership with) And so I would like to ask the community here about their thoughts and experiences of and with addy.io

If you're able to explain their ownership structure and the like too, that would be appreciated, given that proton is a non-profit, which is an upside for it.

When I was a lad I ate four dozen eggs every morning to help me get large. And now that I'm grown I eat five dozen eggs, so I'm roughly the size of a barge.

Super mutants in the Bethesda Fallout games have been lacking in human characteristics and behaviours. I doubt anyone wants them to be do human as to simply be another race ala fantasy, but do you think their characterisation was a missed oppurtunity?

I've been wondering this for a while, but how does the NCR manufacture their armor, and what materials are used in it's construction? The NCR's economy seems largely backed by expansion and the brahmin industry, with a decent manufacturing industry as represented by the Gun Runners, likely using salvage rather than extraction for resources like steel. So that makes me wonder the question then, since the NCR's trooper (and patrol ranger) armors are clearly produced by the Republic, what textiles do they use to produce these? Additionally, are the armoring over the fatigues steel woven into a carrier, or maybe some kind of layered leather? What do you think?

'Disposables' isn't a perfect term, but essentially I refer to things such as underwear, toilet paper, tissues, and other such things that tend to have a lifespan of either one use, or one person.

I am fortunate enough to have been insulated by the possession of many things from youth, but as the years go by things begin wearing out or needing replacement, and eventually that safety net will fade, so I would like to ask from the zerowaste community, what is your approach to common things that are typically used to short lifecycles?

Welcome to the very first Monthly Fallout Modding Megathread! This one is going to be very general to kick this off, given the small community here. And so a question is left to you; what mods or modding projects would you like to promote, or even request? Any contribution is welcome, big or small!

I cannot express how much respect I hold for instance owners, you're doing something great! Maybe one day I'll follow in your footsteps (when I step up from small game servers :P). Say, would those dead communities qualify for a post in c/abandonedarchitecture?

[-] rosahaj 14 points 4 months ago

Thank you :), and I'll just let you know, that this comment brought a smile to my face. I'm proud of you.
