This is the first time they've been caught. It would be naive to think this is the only time this has happened. No doubt they've scrubbed data of bad actors on their side many times without anyone knowing.
I don't believe so, I think it has to do more with seeing something novel that you don't get to see every day. Like, not many people have the means to fill a house with elephant toothpaste, so when someone does that it makes for a pretty entertaining video.
I ate the hell out of this onion ngl
Minecraft. Started playing in 2011 and have played off and on every year since then. It's now really popular again, but I distinctly remember around 2017-18 it became suddenly uncool to play. When I would be in a VC with friends while playing it, they would ride my ass for it. The ~10 year nostalgia/hype cycle is coming full circle lol
Why do they exclusively only cancel good shows (Mindhunter, Inside Job, now this) and keep up actual garbage?? I don't think Netflix has made a wise business decision ever, the only reason they're successful is because they were the first. They're lucky Blockbuster didn't buy them.
I'm a pretty conservative game purchaser. I've never paid over $40 for a game (including games on sale) because there are so, so many amazing indie games on Steam that charge so little for many hours of fun.
When I see a AAA game come out, I know it's going to be profit-driven, uninspired, and rushed because it exists solely for the purpose of making money for a large corp. For that reason (among others), I avoid them altogether because I know my dollar goes way further going toward an independent developer who makes games for passion (and only sometimes for money). The passion always shines through in their work, unlike passionless AAA games.
If abject racism is Republicans' best criticism of Mamdani's policies, then that bodes really well for his platform.
The lack of continuous and backlogged content. For some this is a benefit because it gives them a reason to stop scrolling, but for others who come here to look for answers, find entertainment, or anonymously voice their opinions, this can be something of a downside.
Of course this platform is as anonymous as you make it, but I've seen some people say they refrain from commenting more often because they don't want to be known as a regular, instead wanting to "blend in to the crowd" as one would on more populous sites like Reddit or Twitter.
the EPA announced they're rolling back regulations on forever chemicals today. the crew behind veritasium timed the release of this video so perfectly that i can't help but wonder if they held it in the backlog waiting for this admin's EPA to do some dumb shit.
any chance we could move that to next week?
this person is literally a child lol
Obviously it's higher. If it was any lower, they would've made a huge announcement out of it to prove they're better than the competition.
