Agreed, imagine if instead of tearing down benches so people couldn’t sleep in the park, they instead added bike lifts to help people get up a steep hill in the park or maybe a sprinkler system for the kids to play in.. actually adding value and stuff

Yeah traditional fast food is expensive now, much more bang for your buck going to local chinese, mexican, and indian restaurants where I am. Even a subway sandwich has inched above the prices of local sandwich places (and it’s by far the lowest quality).
The quality line shouldn’t be so straight! Lots of excellent new big budget sci fi this year (PotA, Mad Max, Dune, quiet place, Alien soon) and even some non sequel/prequel ones (Wild Robot, Megapolis, Slingshot). The PRICES to go and get a bucket of popcorn and a drink to share have started to approach undoable though.
