The Russians have been very worried about it. It's structure is very strong and was designed with attacks expected, but it's vulnerable. Here is a little clip of some Russians simulating an attack on the bridge.

Russia can not conquer and hold Ukraine. No one could. I believe that the real purpose behind the war, is to return political control over the Russian population to Stalinist levels, and to undermine Western democracies. Both are achievable and partly done.
