i use revolution (selamectin) from the vet and it's like a fucking flea nuke. if you're getting it soon i wouldn't worry about fleas getting in the house because once you use this stuff it'll clear all of them out of the area in literally hours. fantastic stuff.

also, don't trust any over the counter flea sprays or treatments at stores, they all use neurotoxins that they claim is safe for cats, but some cats are more sensitive and it might cause neurological damage or even death.

nvidia only very recently opened up their drivers to open source dev, so the open source drivers available right now are still based on reverse engineering and they don't work super great. there are proprietary drivers from nvidia but they are not easy to install and configure and popos handles that for you on install.

the difference between the lockdowns where there was understandably a drastic drop in crime to after lockdowns were lifted does not a trend make; it's an externality, and the only rise i referenced. comparing pre lockdown to post lockdown there is a clear continued drop in crime overall. i referenced this lockdown 'rise' particularly because it's what media and fascists have used to pursue greater police budgets and stricter laws and campaigning, and it is misleading at best to parrot their fear mongering over 'rising crime' especially without any data to back it up.
