The existential dread from the past is the same existential dread of today. We also do not know how things might turn out.

100%

His behavior during the NABJ interview was classic Donny: a narcissist doing everything he could to deflect and avoid been held to account for his prior words/behavior.

Just happened that he let his racism shine through as he tried to worm his way out. Which shows how cognitively impaired he is.

I agree, but this dumpster fire is burning inside the US government. It's going to take some critical stuff with it as it burns itself out. :(

If that's pizza, it's seriously undercooked.

Glad I could help.

LA is worth a visit. Definitely has some sketchy areas worth avoiding. Do your research before visiting. That said, there's a lot to do and see in LA.

It was painfully apparent she was confused after returning to the Senate earlier in the year. This is a clear-cut case of manipulation. Also elder abuse.

My parents adopted a quirky cat that seems to have had some past trauma. She's finally getting more friendly and less skiddish - AFTER FOUR YEARS.

Sometimes it's just love and time that helps them get over past trauma.

Murican here. Usually you can ask for a child's portion. It's an option in some places. However, it can also be prefaced as 'only for ages 12 and under'. Depends on the place as to whether or not they care if you don't meet their criteria. Sometimes they'll charge you for an adult small. If that's the case, just get an adult small portion and eat half. Either toss the rest or share it with a friend.

It's definitely possible to convert in both directions. I've never done it though. The technical hurdles made it unpalatable. My main method of moving back and forth was to keep my personal data on a separate disk from the OS disk. That way I could always take my data with me when I changed OSes or VMs.

I think it's far less invasive to setup a Linux VM that can be thrown away vs. setting up dual booting.

With Hyper-V or Virtualbox the OP can have a Linux distribution installed and booting very quickly without fear of disrupting his current Windows installation.

Not OP, but possibly the Kent State massacre was the watershed event that shifted US public opinion about the war.

16+ years. Learned about it from Joel Spolsky's blog.

I pretty much agree 100% with your characterization of the decline and your overall experience.

I also hadn't realized how dysfunctional Reddit had become or how much I'd tried to adapt to that dysfunction.
