That sounds interesting, I’ll have to check that out.

If you’re looking for another search engine, I will always offer Ecosia as another. It essentially uses a Bing engine but uses the ad revenue to plant actual living trees around the world. They document their progress and release their financial statements.

I’ll use Ecosia for things that are not really private and then Brave for everything else.

I understand that was probably a really tough decision. Props for doing what you believe in.

I really like the environment you all have set up here and only really made a lemmy.world account so I could add a couple of communities. Would you consider adding other communities in the near future if they seem reasonable?

I’ll be honest, my new guilty pleasure is Fortnite. Once they added No Build modes (and the whole Roblox-type assortment of variations), the game was less about the niche skill of building mechanics. My friend and I can play duos and have a lot of fun, as long as we don’t take it too seriously.

I had played Overwatch since the beta, but it’s really discouraging to play now for a multitude of reasons. I actually have much less anxiety playing Fornite. And I like to have a separate adventure game that is chill, if I’m not feeling the pressure of battle royale.

(2560x1440) vaporwave (pixelfed.social)

Vaporwave off Kanagawa by NeonOverdrive

It’s a landscape orientation but zooming it still looks great on mobile.

I’m trying Pixelfed to host this.

I have been primarily using Post Images and using the “direct link” to post to Lemmy. So far this allows for direct download for others, versus needing to go to another website to download the image.

I figure it lowers the hosting load for the Lemmy servers. Plus, if for what ever the Lemmy instance goes down, you could repost your images to another instance.

I haven’t checked out Pixelfed

Edit: Oh, I didn’t realize Pixelfed is on the Fediverse. That looks promising.

…they are not available from the preview three menu. You must first click the post or comment, then three dot menu.

Something so simple gave me quite the issue, so I hope this saves someone trouble.

Are the reports showing you posts other people reported?

I also recently had an issue where a post from a different Lemmy instance somehow got posted to my community. I reported it, and the admin messaged me asking why I had gone to his instance and reported it. I said it was posted on this instance, not his, but he saw it posted on the other instance.

So, I think possibly with the migration of lemmy.world that some of the posts were getting cross-posted to the wrong lemmy instance and then users would report the posts.

I found it helpful, although I cannot seem to access those moderator options on a post or comment from a mobile browser at the moment.

Please share any other ideas, suggestions, or questions about moderating any of the Lemmy instances.
