Working in IT, the occasional “this might be a problem in a few years, but I probably won’t be with the company 🤷‍♂️”

Bit too expensive

sometimes it’s nice to know that someone’s watching over me tho

That’s fair.

You could argue that it’s worth the money to get better results and avoid Google, but with so many companies trying to take $10 a month you have to draw the line somewhere.

Off topic, but anything ever happen with that LTT drama?

I used to follow them early on, but seems like a toxic, corporate shit show these days.

Kinda sad watching their videos now, the magic’s just gone imo and seems like they’ve tried to template what it was like.

I guess that’s what people want though, their fan base are basically tech-swifties.

So you don’t think there are any issues with how men are treated on the left?

As progressive as the left can be, men have been left behind and are still often expected to ‘just be a man’, while dealing with double standards and sometimes being treated like they’re inherently bad.

Edit: Copying what vzq has said to me for visibility, as this is the exact problem. Do I sound like the angry toddler in this discussion?

“I want to be treated fairly and based on how I act, and yet I don’t get that.” You are being treated based on how act. You act like a spoiled toddler that thinks he’s owed some consideration by strangers.

This is unrealistic, the client would never say thank you.

In my experience they’d carry on complaining, even after an apology and saying it’ll be put right.

Saying that most Brexit voters thought anything about an EEA arrangement is giving them too much credit imo.

Their thought process was as shallow as “we should be independent, get the foreigners out, save EU membership fees, then everything will be good”, with no thought about the reality of the situation and how it will be achieved.

A lot of them wanted hard Brexit just because negotiating a deal was taking too long, because in their minds it’s as simple as just leaving.

Throwback to the hard cope when this game released, the fanboy dismissal of any criticism was insane. https://lemmy.ml/pictrs/image/2eeb6a5d-008c-4223-9ac5-40b9dda115f5.jpeg
