I doubt I'll do any video, or if I do, I'll have my iPhone 17 Pro up top of the camera for that. Thanks for the reply!

I will be attending the Columbus, OH pride festival and hopefully getting some great shots of the parade with the X-S10. I will be prepped with spare batteries, ample storage, and a couple different lenses. But I fear in the heat of June which can exceed 30c with nearly no shade or cloud coverage, the camera might not be so happy and potentially overheat?

The parade itself is roughly an hour to an hour and a half, though if I am being conservative I can shoot selectively and squeeze that down into 45 minutes of good solid photos.

In any case, those of you who have put this camera through its paces, how does it hold up on long shooting sessions?

Hey, guys gals n enby pals. I have created an OhioLGBTQ+ space on Matrix and you’re all invited.

This is a place for the queer folk of Ohio to meet up, chat, collaborate, and share things all on a secure platform. There’s plenty of discussion channels, and we’re always open to suggestions for new ones!

There’s a place for everyone and I’d love to see you there!

I'm a bit stoned, so that might play a factor but... I've just sat there staring at those statistics and graphs in awe for a solid 10 minutes. Thanks for this!

It's even simpler than that... Their SMTP server is just hosted on a homelab and has notoriously been terrible for uptime. They've had consistent issues with emails not being sent or received and that's not even the icing on the shit sundae for Revolt/Stoat.

[-] kcseb@pawb.social 2 points 3 months ago

Absolutely not.

Stoat (formerly Revolt) is an utter shit-show of alt left and right extremists and the development is dead in the water. They’ve claimed to be working on feature parity with Discord for years now. Not to mention the developers jumping ship and the whole “Stoat” rebrand. Not to mention, their email verification server is just hosted on a homelab setup which has lead to a plethora of users being unable to receive their verification emails, resulting in them requiring a manual approval via emailing in… which guess what… those are also failing to come through!

Don’t touch Revolt/Stoat. It’s no better.

As in, the shots that it produces feel very early 2000s in terms of the overall colour temperature and general "vibe" that it produces. Relax.

Reddit is just pissing me off more and more by the day. Every single post (at least a solid 4/5ths of them) ends up getting auto-filtered. Sick of it...

I getcha, I do. I feel the same way, but its mostly pretty niche communities that I've not been able to find, personally. Some of which I've decided to adopt here and start up myself, in hopes of bringing light and life to them on the fediverse.

Yet another reason to come to the Fediverse. Thanks, Reddit...

Running an RTL SDR v3 with a homebrew antenna, pulling data into readsb that gets piped into other services like tar1090 for the front-end map display, and Skystats for all kinds of extra data like "Interesting aircraft" and various route data, including the most popular routes, origin airports, and airlines.

Currently rocking the v3 for ADS-B reception, using a λ/4 wave vertical w/ ground plane, feeding it into TAT (theairtraffic.com) while the v4 is being used for general reception tasks. (Primarly POCSAG, DMR, and TETRA for local POL/FIRE/EMS/SIA reception and decoding)

Absolutely great little bits of kit for their prices.
