Really anything, but skateboarding is my favorite if I had to pick one that brings me the most peace
Isn't it a link aggregation site? I feel like that's the point...
There are definitely communities that focus on that, though. I know I personally enjoy the local text posts and comment interactions as it reminds me of the good old days of browsing vBulletin forms all day, but lemmy is kind of a different beast in a lot of ways
I watched a few videos on adjusting flow rate and ended up checking my e steps and they were quite a bit off. After fixing that I did a single wall cube to test flow rate and the measurements were right on.
I printed my test piece again and it is way better. I did slice this one in the regular Cura and not the Solvo version since that's what I was using to generate the flow tests but I had all the settings pretty much the same.
Thanks to everyone for the help and suggestions! I will be tweaking my flow and support settings a bit more I'm sure but for now I'm happy with the result
I got rid of my alarm clock because the led screen was too bright. My phone charger has a bright blue light on it so I have to cover that up to sleep. I almost want to set up my bedroom with no electronics at all but I don't think my wife would go for it
Beetle Adventure Racing for the n64.
Specifically the battle modes. The chaos of a bunch of Volkswagen beetles launching rockets at each other is a core memory for sure.
It's so good. Into the Breach is also fantastic
That is super cool! I want to try printing some minis but not sure how they will turn out on the printer I ordered. It's not a resin printer. I may do character tokens instead.
Hey, I'm still in my 20s... for another 3 weeks. Also, Software Engineer for over 10 years...
For me, I really miss the old school internet forms where it was all just people nerding out about the same stuff and providing useful information because they cared about the interest and the community.
Reddit used to be like that but now it's like any other social media platform.
Everything is becoming algorithm driven endless scrolling packed with ads and promoted content with very little focus on the community and actual information. It is just an app you use when you want to turn off your brain.
I'm brand new to lemmy and stuff like it but I'm hoping to find something closer to the classic internet. Not sure if that's what I'll find here but reddit sure isn't that any more, and hasn't been for a while
I have the same problem. I also got some earbuds that do the ambient noise or noise cancelling and I can switch between modes easily. It does help some.
If I'm somewhere where I can't get away from the chaos I'll put on some lofi music with noise cancelling and that helps. If I need to pay attention (like if I'm grocery shopping with the kids) I will leave it on ambient mode. Some of the binaural beats playlists on spotify are really nice for calming my brain. I would definitely recommend checking those out.
If it is possible, getting outside and going for a walk, especially if you can get into grass or wooded environment is extremely helpful for me.
Something that may help (it helps me sometimes) is regularly doing some kind of heavy work, like lifting weights, pushups, etc. to really train the muscles. It helps calm my whole system down for hours. Working out regularly throughout the week has helped me a lot. I definitely notice when I miss some days.
That looks super cool. Do you have to have a special kind of setup to do multiple filaments in one print like this? I've just ordered a printer so I've got zero experience and didn't even know stuff like this was possible
It's my favorite deck. I absolutely love the shape and size
