This smells like social media feminism. The kind of thing that a few people will tweet about voluminously for a while, and news/culture publications will write articles about for clicks, but which has little to no existence in the real world.

I can't help but think a person would be justified in permanently disabling these aircraft.

Of all the reasons I've seen for why people struggle to unionize, I have never seen anyone suggest that unions don't want members.

I just had a mini-revelation that this looks weird because the "pupil" is on the surface of the contact instead of under the lens of the eye. These aren't bad contacts; contacts are just bad like that. Seems that post processing is really the only option.

I'm a little worried about the level of critical thinking around here if people really feel that "great" arguments can be expressed in a four panel comic.

The world is not simple, and memes can not make a valid worldview.

Actually a lot of them don't. It's weird but a lot of polling has found that a big chunk of Trump supporters somehow believe that all the outrageous things Trump says are somehow just for show, or are sarcasm, or just a joke. I'm not talking about the maga hat, rally goers, but the more average Trump voter who says "the economy" is their top voting issue.

Trump couldn't win a national election with just maga. Somehow getting the more normal Trump voters to believe he might actually do what he likes to talk about doing, might really help.

Pretty much title. I haven't had cable in a decade, and I'm not really a sports person, so I'd really rather not have to sign up for some sports streaming package, but I do kinda like watching Avs games. A friend asked me why I didn't just get an antenna to watch the games, but the broadcast TV page on the Denver Post doesn't look like they actually carry Avs games. Just wondering if I missed something.

It's a constitutional amendment that was ruled on. The Constitution applies the same in all states. If it were just Colorado law I think it would be much harder to appeal the ruling to the US Supreme Court.

Teddy bears smashing imperial armor with log traps was when Star wars jumped the shark IMHO.

I mean, it's an mtx-free, drm-free, full feature game. If BG3 isn't worth paying for, I don't know what is.

First thing I need to do is say how much I love the interviews that Tyler Cowen does. The topics range widely, and yet the questions are always remarkably well-informed, unique, and interesting. Honestly the greatest interviewer I know of. Give it a listen.

Secondly I'm curious if anyone else has an interviewer (who does podcasts?) that they would recommend.

I feel for this guy having to make a living with the meager pay of a barista, but setting the minimum wage to a livable level and pegging it to inflation is a much better solution. Hell, throw in some single-payer, universal healthcare, and take that item off everyone's personal budget while we're at it.

I went on that journey a couple years ago. What I ended up buying is technically considered "digital signage" rather than a TV. Basically zero bloat. You may have to pay a little extra but I don't recall it being that much. Pretty sure I got it here.
