It starts with the basics; piracy, cp, etc. Then it becomes whatever the highest-paying corporation wants to censor. Opposing political views? Check. Anything pro-free thinking? Check. There's no end to this, so we have to head it off at the pass. If corporations own the Web, we have lost (and we're shamefully close to that reality...)

What worries me is that the majority of Americans DO think it matters. If anywhere near 51% of these cunts think he'd make a good "world leader" then the entire human population is fucked beyond belief (and they already let it happen once...)

Not to mention the comparison between watching a movie at home, where you know it will be silent, versus the risk of having at least one (but often more) groups of people who will not shut the fuck up the whole time.

The admins of beehaw are more Liberal (if you are anywhere in the LGBTQIA+ space the other side's content is largely considered offensive enough to defederate from) and presumably the other way around.

Annoyingly I guess it all comes around to politics and which side of history you want to be on. Personally I'm all for letting other people be in charge of whatever the fuck they want to do with their life - to an extent - but context matters
