I personally think calling them a colony is incorrect. They are an island where UK citizens live and have lived since the beginning of human habitation. They get to vote. They have the same culture and want to stay in the UK. The only thing that matches the colonial definition is that they are far away which is a relative term.

Hamas is literally in this video firing missiles. The people on this site including yourself have your heads in the sand.

Giving full economic power to the state does not make you less fascist. It actually makes it much worse.

Just a reminder to the true leftists who think they can force through their better society by giving society more power over the individual without changing the culture in the first place.

It got pretty bad for a while. Landlords were stuck with properties that had tenants that were getting absolutely destroyed and there was nothing they could legally do about it. It resulted in increased barriers they put up to ensure that folks would actually pay rent and not destroy properties. It's become increasingly difficult to actually get an apartment in many cities with this rule in place.

DJ Power Ten here! It's the year's best geek music and some that couldn't be included in years past. All have legitimate nerd cred in some way and something you should be able to play for your friends. Absolutely none of this has been included in years past and 90% is from this past year.

2023 Soundtrack https://spotify.link/UJbSUPOLFCb

2023 just the dance music https://spotify.link/GdR23QLLFCb

All the soundtracks combined from years past and this year https://spotify.link/LBZxtrQLFCb

All the dance music https://spotify.link/oV01zIULFCb

The combined geek playlist is up to 37 hours this year. We are just about to the point where you can start it at the beginning of DragonCon and never repeat a geek song.

What did I get right? What did I get wrong?

Cool, what is your preferred replacement and does everyone in this thread agree? You have managed to continue criticism but not offer a replacement yet again.

I'm aware, it's why I inherently don't trust them. They are anticompetitive to a fault. It is unethical no matter what code of ethics you go by and I vote with my wallet.

I would prefer my phones to work well with other phones. If your phone requires that everyone else buy the same overpriced phone, it is not a better device. Anyone can make something that talks well with itself.

That culture comes from a lack of process and experience of large organizations. The second that a team grows beyond 7 people it has grown beyond the direct control of any one person and the culture takes on a life of it's own. If not addressed early in growth, issues typically spiral and are either not caught or are allowed to exist out of a perceived necessity.

Small organizations are nimble so they do not need to formalize cultural and HR processes in the same way that large organizations do. If the leader sees something they don't like, they address it. It isn't just about basic respect. We all bring our own cultural issues to an organization. A lack of professionalism comes hand in hand with smaller creative organizations. That's what makes them entertaining. It also enables the toxic tendencies of some people as they are allowed to slip in and as the pressure builds. Don't confuse professionalism with respect.

These things don't happen immediately either. It happens over time as people get tired and impatient so they are not on their best behavior. We all go through a storming process. That's when toxic culture can set in if good lower level leadership doesn't catch and address it. That takes training and a formal approach to organizational structure, not just production processes.

I am one of those outside consultants.

Do not go gentle into that good night, Old age should burn and rave at close of day; Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Though wise men at their end know dark is right, Because their words had forked no lightning they Do not go gentle into that good night.

Good men, the last wave by, crying how bright Their frail deeds might have danced in a green bay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

Wild men who caught and sang the sun in flight, And learn, too late, they grieved it on its way, Do not go gentle into that good night.

Grave men, near death, who see with blinding sight Blind eyes could blaze like meteors and be gay, Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

And you, my father, there on the sad height, Curse, bless, me now with your fierce tears, I pray. Do not go gentle into that good night. Rage, rage against the dying of the light.

The engagement is fleeting but the spoiling of the narrative is forever.

Start changing all the /r/ subreddit advertisements to /c/. That's the most strategic way to send the message.

It takes time to develop custom content. Reposts are easy. Culture takes effort. Beans take effort.

I have only really gotten into his Tested content these past couple years. This is the best announcement for me even covering the past few DragonCons.
