I'm no tech guy, but in my understanding, AI is just a tool, that in our capitalist nightmare of a world only amplifies opression and profit oriented practices over people and the planet but it's nowhere near being sentient or actually thinking

Mutual aid is one of the most direct, best ways to make the world a better place and practice praxis. It's not an either/or situation: give money when you can, but you could also volunteer with an organization that's horizontal and not one of those scammy, hierarchial ones with too much power. Also, if you give someone cash, it's theirs now, and wanting people to prove they're "worthy" beacuse they "really" need the money is antithetical to mutual aid. And also, i'm proud of you for wanting to do better than how you were raised✌🏻
Under capitalism, i fear automationing will mean people losing their jobs only have worse, often dangerous opinions, that machines could do, meanwhile entertainment and the like will be flooded by even shittier quality AI made crap. I can only pray it will mean everyone's basic needs being covered, but that requires a huge shift

I use DuckDuckgo through Firefox. It's great and there are good extensions for extra safety. Also, Firefox deskopt is so customizable, i got a neon cityscape design for the bar!
Thank you but i would rather chew off my own arm than be under the thumb of Meta again. It's bad enough that my tattooers are on Instagram, the only thing i use my account for since years and i have to have Messenger to chat with friends; i refuse to engage with any more Meta shit
