Nope sorry. The style, in the case of this sentence & that famous Buffalo cow-pie, has pushed both sentences beyond people’s ability to understand it without additional processing time. Therefore the style is bad, and should feel bad.

That journalistic style is really only to lower word count anyway, so that headlines could fit onto printed newspaper pages, & maybe to save on ink. I don’t fuckin’ care about a 100 year old practice, nor the editors who sacrificed my understanding so that they could save a buck or 5 seconds. I care about understanding a goddamn sentence.

I see the legal groundwork for the first concentration camp is here

She should just defecate on her political opponents’ desks. I mean, nothing happened to the criminal trespasser who illegally entered the building in Jan 6th 2021, right?

To the tune of “Stool Boom”, a song in the fictional musical in the movie Waiting For Guffman (first two words only of the lyrics):

clears throat

STOOOOOOL GROOM!

Saved you a click: This news article was indeed from Nov 20, 2024

This is very calming to hear & I feel like it needs to be mentioned lots more when we hear about these incidents! no sarcasm, it’s honestly good to think it’s not so easy

This may be true , but did the Hamas leader spend years spying on judges in the ICC like Netanyahu et al did? This edit is funnier 🤷‍♂️🤟

Yes, heartless as she as been heartless. Brutal as she was. Live by the sword? Well ya know the rest 🤷‍♂️

The most fucked up thing about most Leopards Ate My Face types is that the leopard always eats someone else’s face first. This smug turd-lady voted for years to punish everyone she didn’t like. I feel sorry for what a hateful human she is

They kept the concentration camps hidden, so they’ll probably call these something else that sounds juuuust safe enough for the news outlets who are brave enough to report on them. ?until those news outlets have their funding cut)

Absolutely not. It’s the moment where everyone digs in harder.

Ask anyone with skin darker than yours, or whose sexuality or gender was once or still is illegal. You don’t fuckin give up

I had already uninstalled Creative Cloud but its zombie folder was still there. (Win11/64bit/most recent updates.) Looked for hours, tried tons, nothing would work. Maybe for you Adobe's unPinCCF tool would work, or using regedit to set System.IsPinnedToNameSpaceTree to 0 would - but not for me.

TLDR (thanks, Aubrey and Bortao) Delete the following registry key (after making a backup of your registry ofc):

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\0E270DAA-1BE6-48F2-AC49-5CE0DBECC398

Bortao reports- "The last part of the number is random, so open Regedit and browse to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace, find a key starting with 0E270DAA-1BE6-48F2-AC49 and remove it." Me, I found it by Ctrl-F and looking for "creative cloud files" until I landed on that one. Deleted it, rebooted, GONE.

Aubrey's help: https://superuser.com/questions/1758115/adobe-creative-cloud-removal-and-regedit

Bortao's comment in this link: https://superuser.com/questions/1642874/how-to-remove-creative-cloud-files-shortcut-from-windows-explorer-left-navigati/1652595#1652595

This is NOT the only thing that worked for other people, so I should post my notes from this long trek, maybe one of the simpler paths might work for others

Loom alternatives / help? (self.technology)
submitted 1 year ago by beefbot to c/technology@lemmy.ml

Loom alternatives? Recording a demo here. Desktop app dies often, only a reinstall gets it going again briefly. (Win11, VPN or not, permissions all set, HDR unchecked.)

Web app won’t show my camera on VSCode or Git, only the Loom site. That part is vital 🤷‍♂️ so I’m stuck using the desktop app I think. (using FF mostly but tried Chromium (pls no Chrome))

Will just buying it magically fix all this? 🤷‍♂️ Thanks in advance for any ideas 👍✌️
