Oh well take it out of the case then

You're right, they didn't retire Wefwef.app, I see it now points to what they're calling Voyager - but if someone is looking for the current name the developers are using it is Voyager

I've been idly browsing local Facebook listings for second hand gear and the same shit sits there for months priced about what I paid for similar stuff years ago - sometimes higher

No, car windows once, bathroom mirror a few times. Didn't seem like it was worth it for that.

We've loved our window vac, WV2 I think, for sucking condensation off the windows. Way less mess and faster job overall than squeegee plus towel and even sucks it up off the sill. Maybe not a smart buy for how expensive it is, but over however many years of mopping up windows... worth

Just jumped in to liftoff and it's great so far

Psychologically misinformation is thought to be an attraction to being part of an in group, and less harmful permeations are a sort of gateway drug to the more batshit harmful stuff.

My understanding is that allowing disinformation to proliferate, even downvoted to oblivion, is still a chance to hook someone in to that thinking if they already see themselves as marginalised.

While pushing back, or removing will not work to reprogram true believers it will protect those vulnerable to misinformation

Gardens comes to mind. Not thanking the driver.

Capital punishment worthy stuff generally

Don't be afraid to invite people if based upon their observed behaviour you think they'll be a good fit.

In my mind it sort of falls in the camp of if you want the job then that's a potential sign you're not best suited!

Thanks for that, I've shared in Southisland , and also Wellington since that's my local.

Yo! I'm from the other island (the better one if I'm honest).

I was wondering if changing the display name of each local Lemmy is palatable to the people from there.

This would not change the URL, and would still be searchable with it's anglophone alias.

So... what are your thoughts on a new display name to Te Wai Pounamu or Te Waipounamu before you get too used to the current one?

Or as I said, I'm an imposter so perhaps mu suggestion is not the best or even the second best one.

Edit: I have no skin in the game so if y'all reach a consensus, or want to progress this further reach out to a friendly admin

I sort of passively mod on a few telegram groups (by owner request I never applied)

Just deleting shit that's offensive or blatant spam.

Not wading in to conversations and throwing my opinion around.

There's probably plenty showing up with experience, not necessarily reddit experience.

A good first step might just to have coverage yo delete stuff that needs deleting - with a very lax approach until a bit of a culture is embedded that sets the vibe of the place.

Heyheyhey Lemmy.NZ

Throw out your preferred app, preferably with a link.

Asking for this here because many reddit refugees from the great third party app purge may not look out of the federation or find apps as easy to find as before.

Expecting there to be a load on f-droid, izzy etc?
