America has always been right wing vs further right wing.

Fuck the people vs fuck the people harder.

So, if we don't want the mob boss of America to burn down our businesses, we need to enable him to tell his constituents that he is doing great?

Thats counter productive at best.

Besides the name, why does this fit this sub? It's just a rebranded American product 🤷‍♂️

The media outlets are helping Trump keep focus off of his actual goal. It's easy when all his distractions are catastrophes by their own right.

It's like "hey look at Gaza", "look at immigrants", "look at all the human rights violations!"

While they just destroy the democratic institutions and sell them to their friends for scraps.

And when they're all done, they are gonna declare the United States a failed project, and divide the country amongst each other.

You're completely right, both sides have speech they find unacceptable. But lets try to look at it a little closer, what kind of speech does the left try to ban?

Mostly stuff like racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, stuff that hurts others and keeps them down. But i agree, sometimes they take that too far. I think more left leaning people should focus a lot more on economic equality and workers rights.

What kind of speech does the right want to ban? Mostly stuff about their human rights violations, as far as i can tell.

Two sides of the same coin, i guess.

It's funny, because in Europe we classify liberals as right wing too.

Over here, Liberals are the people who want liberal economic policies, meaning less rules for the rich. Our left wing are socialdemocratic, with liberal social policies (meaning freedom to live how you want)

In America, they call their left wing liberals, because they are scared of socialism and just the thought of people getting to decide how to live their own lives are semi-radical.

For so many years the American left wing has only been focusing on social issues, while neglecting the more important stuff like healthcare, education, workers rights and affordable housing.

I get wanting to fight for acceptance for all, but its just distractions man. And as soon as gays became accepted, trans people became the new out group. The fascists will always create a perceived enemy that normal people have to defend.

You can fight for their rights without letting it take focus away from the oligarchs trying to fuck everyone.

Nah, he is also doing the bidding of the Heritage Foundation. Which is basically just the PayPal Mafia rebranded.

The comment you responded to works either way.

It points out that the good guy with a gun is never actually there when needed, because its a fantasy character.

While at the same time, it actually wonders why not a single person opened shots at these masked men, in the most heavily armed country in the world.

Always have been. Hitler said himself he was inspired by the American way of treating people of colour.
