They're actually not just licenses. When you download a game from steam you get the game data. You can back up this gamedata if you wish. Sure it will have steam DRM but thats something on can get around one way or another.

Games on GOG come with offline installer that can be used to install the most reacent version.
But you're right, many games do require day 1 patches or even game data to be dowloaded but that makes these worse / lower in quality for many.
LLMs are one form of AI, path-finding is one form of AI, rule-engines are one form of AI, knowledge graphs can be form of AI.
For example path finding can make an AI agent intelligently traverse mazes and terrain, rule-engines can make an agent execute actions based on pre-defined rules, agent can use knowledge graph reason about its contents. Similarly LLMs can be used for bunch of stuff like predict answers to questions, auto-comple code or sentences, extract information from natural language or formulate answer in natural language based on given data.
None of these are AGI or very intelligent alone but they can be used to model forms of inteligence artificially.
It is however very annoying to see LLM hijack the whole term for itself.

Lemmy support would be much more fitting for Mozilla. They could add plugin or lemmy integration to their browser that could show discussions from subscribed communities matching the current url.
Effectively acting as a "comment section" but for any page. One would only need lemmy account to comment on youtube videos, news articles, blogs etc.

Allowing people to copyright A.I generated art could lead to huge issues where someone could just churn out generated images like no tomorrow and throw out copyright claims left and right. It could even lead to situation where you can't really create any art because it's probably something that's already been generated by someone or close to it.
I don't pre-order games nor do I really buy any games new.
I mean why should I when I can buy complete version of the game for like 10-20 bucks 1-3 years later. Honestly I've simply discarded the idea of being consumer and shifted to thinking myself as customer instead. Its not my job to support the developers and keep their studios afloat its their job by making good games that are actually worth their price tag.
I already have backlog of games that would take years clear thanks to steam sales, playstation plus and all sorts of bundle offers. I am in no hurry to buy new games and I can easily wait for the developers to actually finish the game and buy the GOTY/Ultimate/Definite edition that includes most if not all the expansions and dlc for a discounted price.
As for free 2 play and live service games I simply don't have the time and interest to play those. If I ever make an exception to this then I'll be using only default skins/cosmetics, no gatcha and ignoring the battle pass completely.
PC is an open platform, consoles are not. If a data can be downloaded locally it can be backed up one way or another. You may need a crack to get around the DRM or reverse engineered private server to access some games but the options are there.
At some level this is also possible on many consoles but usually requires either emulation or modded console.
