- Tomb Raider (2013) - I want to like that game and even tried the mindset of "Try treat it as just a standalone game" like I did with Resident Evil 4 but unlike that game, the game is boring. The constant hold-handling which the combination of the reboot trying to be cinematic feels jarring. "Survival" mechanics feels like a gimmick and felt in late-game, it went just being generic shooter game.
- Doom 3 - I only putting it here as there's fan saying it underrated but to me, it feels like a tech demo at best (a really good one as love the shadows) and at worst, it's a poor-man's Half-Life. It was at first, scary the jumpscare but that's more just emeries' placement which felt there for cheap scare which ruins the atmosphere a bit they just set up. Personally, I think Dead Space is everything what Doom 3 wishes it could of be. One thing I do like is you can listen to logs and read emails to try find out PINs for various lockers around the place which I thought that was cool.
For me, it's lack of Linux smartphones and also not selling in more popular shops. If I wasn't curious about Linux and decided to watch videos online about it, I wouldn't have known a Linux Smartphone exist and also, a smartphone is already a oversaturated market where it's just another iPhone or some sort of variation of a Android phone.
You are talking about one of the biggest social media corporation so yes, people still use Facebook but think majority people used Instagram which Facebook owns. So either way, people on there are fucked
Assuming you mean like the political climate, I'm not sure exactly what to do as I feel helpless and incompetent to really do as much of a impact. Whenever I can and if my brother send me information about any protest (as majority protest info are on Instagram/Twitter for some reason which I don't use any of the two anymore) I try go to one if possible.
But otherwise if it just in general of what stuff I do to help, I tend to file report whenever I see bigots on the Fediverse. So like TERFs are huge no-no and I feel if I hadn't report them, I'm doing a disservice to instance I'm on that is a safe space for trans people. And also trying to listen to any meta related to Fediverse and try see what I can (and everyone as this isn't a one-man band) could do to make it safe for everyone beside just people who are just full of hate.
Don't App developers need to pay for Reddit's API which is why the Reddit boycott started in the first place? I doubt an open source client would really want to pay for a API so you had to stick with two apps unfortunately..
Thanks, it generally means a lot! I just thought Lemmy is more welcoming instead of whatever is not in majority of the users' interests is bad and malicious.
I can understand if the game they play is online and it has an anti-cheat that makes it uncompatible with Linux. (Mainly game devs not allowing Linux to work). Otherwise, my experince with gaming on Linux has been pretty good
I get he is a douche but can we try be much more productive with this migration from Reddit instead of doing "Imagine this..."
It helps nobody at all and all you going to get is more angry rather than actually getting anything at of it.
You don't had to but I say it never hurts to least have another backup account but on a different instance.
Wait, you can’t call, text, email, chat your friends?
Their my internet friends if that makes sense. Also, I don't like to give out my something like my email or phone number unless I know people enough or at least would see them. Most them are in America so seeing them is slim. (I'm British)
You have to shout it publicly across the internet?
No, I can DM Them and it what I mostly did to keep in contract with them.
Are you sure they’re your friends?
Yeah, their just lazy at best...
I remember around Novemeber trying to get my friends to use other platfrom but Twitter as I removed my account, made twitter account only to talk to them because their too lazy to even just use Discord.. it just so damn annoying
I'm currently using GrapheneOS on my Pixel phone I brought secondhand so think I should (for now) be okay?
Otherwise, Linux phone looks interesting but it just relearning both another OS (like iPhone users trying to learn Android and vice versa) and also just I have low income so buying new tech is just expensive.
I don't want to throw myself a deepend to an OS that I not as familiar with beside on my desktop and Raspberry Pi. Personally, I prefer to know what's there before I just go blind so at least I can manage my expectation than expected it to do 1:1 stuff that I do on my phone right now.
