I feel this.

I love to play but am horrible at RP or explaining things out.

Feels like a combination of vaccine distrust and misinformation, cost of medical care, and the spread through coming to work sick as many can’t afford not to.

It’s a horrible situation all around that will continue as it was mismanaged from the start.

I mean… this isn’t surprising at this time of year. Many are traveling, in close proximity with one another and we have two holidays relatively close to one another (Thanksgiving and Christmas) that will have many people gather in one place, usually indoors.

It all provides a great environment for things to spread.

Not to mention the large amount of people who come into work sick at this time of year too.

And this is why we continue to use ad blockers. The entire internet is worse without them.

It gets more mildly infuriating when you notice that they’ll typically jack up the prices just before a “Sale” to make it seem like a better deal.

Did anyone actually use this bot? I don’t know of anyone who did.

The cat is exactly where they’re meant to be: watching high above their kingdom.

Honestly what’s the point of even releasing videos or showing it off if all it’s going to amount to is a tease?

Seems like kind of a dick move. If they wanted to make it for personal reasons fine but don’t tell anyone else.

I could have been much happier not knowing this.

New fear.

I know that taking the instance offline isn’t an easy decision but it was the right choice to make until the exploit was patched.

For those who weren’t aware, from my understanding there was an exploit with custom emoji on the Lemmy front end that allowed a malicious script to be ran, which was stealing login cookies. This started on Lemmy(dot)world.

This seemed to have been patched this morning.

From what I’ve seen it didn’t seem to propagate through federated comments but never can be too careful.

Thanks crash and admin/mod team for keeping us safe 🙂

Does anyone else remember the songs done by Acousticbrony and MandoPony years back? Loyalty, Kindness, Generosity, and Laughter?

If you do, what many don't seem to know is that Acousticbrony (Now RE:MAKE) revisited the album in 2022 and not only remade the original songs, but completed it with Loyalty and Magic!

If you liked the originals, or even if you haven't heard them before, I definitely recommend giving the album a listen 😀

Scrolling through the All or Subscribed feed, it’ll show the name of the community (tech for example) but not which instance it’s from.

When you have multiple with the same name it can get confusing which it’s from.

Is there a way to add that next to the community name?

Currently there’s a bug with Lemmy where after a while the Hot and Active sorting fails to update.

Wander from yiffit posted about it as well https://pawb.social/post/118608

Is that something that can be set up on Pawb until the bug is fixed?

Apologies if this has already been brought up.

We all suspected that he was following Elons way of running a business, but this just confirms it.

What an ass.

I can’t believe the amount of people I see that are supporting Reddits decision not only with the API pricing and changes, but in removing mods like this.

The whole reason for the blackouts is a protest against Reddit and their new policy. Now they’re threatening to come in and remove mods with their own appointed ones to force subs to open? And they’re for this?

I…just…wow.
