I was on trollx and it was a nice community. A community with a name derived from two X chromosomes will never be fully trans inclusive though.
The is why dull_mens_club gives me really bad vibes. Any similar community aimed at women would be harassed into oblivion.
It’s become a habit for many people. Cooking is a really difficult habit to (re)learn. It’s possible though and good meal prep is very convenient on long days at work.
It’s scary but it also made me feel more free to cross other societal boundaries.
The term is very commonly not used that way though, adding it to the rules will drive away leftists that also don’t like people getting run over by tanks.
some users are stupid and focus on pedantry and technicalities
The wording of this is a bit ableist. Alternative:
some users focus disproportionately on pedantry and technicalities, causing possibly difficult communication.
Misogyny should be added to list of no prejudices since it was common on the previous community.
Also I’ll repeat my request for removing ‘no tankie behavior’ because ‘tankie’ has no consensus definition which makes it a divisive term. In this community I’ve seen several people describe all Marxist Leninists as ‘tankies’. I strongly dislike sectarianism and I would like ML’s to feel welcome here. Any posts that are harmful to the community should just be moderated on the basis of its harm.
Feedback: no more ‘fuck tankies’ in banner or rules. It’s divisive because it has no consensus definition and I think we should make all leftist feel welcome and just use mod action if someone is being harmful to the community.
That could mean a lot of things. Many people who say that don’t really know what gender entails and thus don’t notice in what ways gender impacts their life. I used to say it before I realised I am trans. It could also mean that you’re agender.
I think most cis people don’t understand their own gender that well. If you’re trans you’re kind of forced to do research about gender to find a sense of your identity. Through this research you learn a lot about what gender entails.
I don’t think a lot of cis people can even explain how they know they’re cis lol
I’ve frequently seen misogynistic posts or comments removed only after 1 or 2 days which is basically useless on a platform where posts get most of their views and interactions in 1 day.
There’s many internet spaces that are better than lemmy regarding misogyny, any platform that does not have a strong majority of cis men is probably better than lemmy.
