That's also asshole design. Most people are behind some form of nat. It's especially egregious for customers of ISPs who use CGNAT.
I'd kill for a game with the scope of Skyrim where the NPCs truly felt like they were living their own lives.
Because they don't always exist.
I feel that. I have maybe 3 friends who use Signal. The rest are spread out sms, fb, discord, etc...
I mean yes but, you don't have to use it.
Maybe then we just need to mirror that activity here.
I've been using Feedly, ever since Google Reader was shut down. I've been happy with it and it has discovery features to find new feeds that interest you.
Right. You see this on Reddit all the time. The community would be split and part would splinter off and start a new sub.
Thanks. I guess I was being impatient. It's not the most intuitive interface to have a search come up empty with no indication that I should wait or come back later.
I just think we should kind of chill on trying to 1-for-1 replicate Reddit
I don't think I want (or was asked for) a 1-to-1 replica of Reddit. Like I said, I get the pros of open source and federation. I'm just pointing out an immediately apparent pain point that I'd like to see be addressed at some point.
I tend to only upgrade the PC when I start to feel it, but I don't see the deck changing that. I'm a kbd+mouse gamer at heart and there's too many games I'd just prefer to play that way, in front of a bigger screen.
I want to second using the website as a pwa. It works quite well.
