I'm trying to understand your post but I think I may lack the technical knowledge to do so, have the offenders been exposed from the comment sections of the gens, or have they been found from specific prompted generated images?

Plus, you know, being the absolute worst (or best, depending on how you see it) at storing every single piece of data about their users. And ruining YouTube completely, just so they're able to harvest more data from their users. And.. You know, making their money on selling that data to ad companies and shoveling ads on every site they're able to, and offering their users to pay a fee to avoid said ads, which are used by the advertising company who bought the data about the specific user, which was harvested by Google.

Oh, and turning Android into literal spyware, just to harvest even more data about everyone, so they can sell even more aggressively personal data about their users. And now trying to limit their Android userbase from being able to use apps without the literal spyware that they provide.

So there's that.. But yeah, they do have great marketing, funding a lot of side projects, and donate to charities enough so that their userbase remain gullible enough to think that they "are the best of the worst". Which isn't really a hard job given the competition with the current American tech market ghouls at the top, who use other strategies to gain attraction.

Yeah, that might very well be the case. I don't follow anyone online, which might explain my lack of insight of the different online art communities. Not because I don't think there's great art available online, I'm sure I'd find a lot that I liked if I used Instagram, for example. But because I don't really look for it. The only content I see online is pretty much posted on spaces like Lemmy (or Reddit in the past), like Comic Strips for example. Those spaces typically involves either digital anime drawings, realistic IRL paintings/drawings, or digital comics which often are easy on the eye with the point usually resolving around making a social comment on what ever topic people are upset with that week, neither of which speaks to my preferences. I appreciate the added context!

I can see where you're coming from. At this point I'm not interested in engaging with content that has a negative impact on my mental health, even if I support those views. There's some extent of irony in this behavior, but I'm just tired of being constantly bombarded with reminders of our sad world. I don't use typical social media, and every once in a while when I catch a whiff of a friend's Tiktok or Instagram feed, I'm completely blown away by how much content there is designed to trigger a negative, or often an angry reaction. This was a big reason for me to leave Reddit and I'm trying to avoid this as much as possible on Lemmy.

I'm still very new here and still trying to figure this whole fediverse thing out, I've only been here for about a month, give or take. Like some other user suggested were common for newbies to Lemmy, I chose the most active instance without really thinking about it, and always scroll through /All. During my short experience here, I have blocked so, so many communities and instances already. Blahaj is one of them, not because I disagree with the importance or need to stand up for LGTQ+ rights, but because I feel that the general content posted there is naturally based on a politically driven agenda, which again is all fine, but I browse this shit before bed to escape my already constant anxiety, and I'm here for memes and a good time. I'm not interested in content that is either dystopian doomerism, American circus politics, war reports, or what ever depressing reminders of our current speedrun to degrade human life, in basically all categories.

I get that people are actively frustrated, angry, in need to vent, or in need of other's to help them feel less alone, that they're not the only ones who think the world is losing their minds. This space is perfect for people to discuss those things, to find likeminded people and even challenge their believes from other's opinions. But that's not what I'm looking for. I could just make it easy for myself and sub to the lighthearted communities that fits to my need and just scroll through that instead, but I enjoy the random posts from communities I wouldn't find unless I was scrolling through /All, like this post for example.

Instead, I just block everything that has a negative reaction that makes me chose to engage in that content from my side. Like another news article about Musk posting something dumb on Twitter once again, for example. If I read the title and want to click the post to read more, I stop to ask myself if feel that if the reason to want to read more stems from anger or frustration, if it does I try to move on. Not because I feel that the topic shouldn't be discussed or that it shouldn't have an angry reaction, but because it's fucking everywhere already and I'm not trying to feed my depression further. Call it an ostrich behaviour, but it makes my experience a little better.

I have been making physical art myself since I could walk pretty much, and I have never once heard of anyone with similar interests evwn mention making stickers for a living. Maybe it's a geographical thing? I know some where making postcards and selling them on the streets for some beer money, while others kissed who ever ass they needed to in order to have gallery shows and establish themselves in the disgusting art world and make a decent living of their art.. But never stickers. I never bothered with trying to make money off it myself, I enjoy painting and making money from it has never crossed my mind.

I'm not saying that you're wrong, just to make that clear. But given how people will literally refuse to even touch anything that's been made with AI these days (gaming industry for example), I personally feel that the loud minorities of this online activism of "AI stealing creative work" is digital artists who only have grown their fanbase by a lot from slapping a "human made" note on their work, rather than having their livelihood snatched because of a Ghibli or a Disney generator available online.

Yes, because so many of the extremely celebrated human artists (please support my digital created artwork that is a circlejerk supporting the current popular trends on the internet y'all) have lost their jobs. Can you name one?
