Sounds like a problem in the question. "Yes" is a perfectly valid response to "Do you want eggs or cheese"?
Go for a walk. Its cliché and I hate that it works but it genuinely can lift your mood and outlook. Plus you burn more calories than you might think.
Not personally but my old manager certainly did. I really wish I had reported to HR but I was still new, early in my career and the company wasn't very corporate - HR was just a lady who was an early hire without any real credentials.
He (my manager) would regularly hand CVs around the team to see if they were a good fit skill wise but would also search for (and print off!) any facebook photos he could find that showed skin. He almost exclusively looked for and hired women. He later got sacked for bullying and generally being very inappropriate.
People also don't appreciate intersectionality. Like a gay, black woman doesn't just have to navigate the same issues as a gay person, a black person and a woman but also has to navigate issues specific to being a gay woman, a black woman and being black & gay. Its a cumulative thing that those from more privileged or common positions don't get those other interplays and combinations and the additional complexity that adds to that person's life.
I seem to remember there was a subreddit dedicated to women laughing at salads.
The concept of house of lords has never been a problen for me, the issue is the undemocratic makeup of its members.
Singular they is not a new concept designed to appeal to the "woke crowd". I was very much taught in school to use singular they, it was always something used when the gender of the subject was unknown and often even if it is known but unimportant. It has been part of the English language for a long time.
I don't think I could vote for Labour again in good conscience. I voted for them as the lesser of two evils but it has been nothing but betrayal. My fear is that doing this will allow the tories or ~~fascists~~ reform into power which will be utterly horrendous against the mildly lighter level of shitness we have now.
I joined the lib dems before when they were the big party against brexit and this time i will be joining the greens. I dont have any hope that things will change before the next election where I'll be forced to think about the implications of my vote but I'll cross that bridge when i come to it.
Pretty sure hes been out of a job for a while, i think its all adhesive stamps now
Good to know that trans people losing rights in the UK isn't a 'real issue' close to his own life and that it doesn't have any knock on effect for cis and trans women's safety. Thanks for making sure we are all aware of that fact.
Here's the thing...
I can't work out if you disagree that birds are dinosaurs or if you think a showerthought needs to have a deeper point to it. Or both.
