This was the reason I didn't finish SMS when I was a kid. These fucking levels crushed my soul

This comment is actually really funny /g idk the wording or something just made me laugh

Blaze has been warned about harassment already, and not just on mods. Fan didn't threaten to ban them for critiquing our actions, although I can see how anyone else could've got there. Reminder that the modlog is visible to anyone, if anyone feels that we are banning people purely for speaking out, please contact Ada if you do not trust any of the other local mods to address the situation

I agree, janitors is the correct description here. It's not an insult.

I don't know that we ever remove comments for "not contributing to the discussion" unless I'm just not seeing it. Ironically, our concern about some of Ada's bans had to do with her saying that they were "participating in bad faith" which is why we asked for a more specific rules from her.

Not defending our recently actions as a group, just curious if anyone was actually banning for "not contributing to discussion" or if it was more of a random example.

Same could be argued with n-slur and f-slur. Those were not terms chosen by those groups. Both were created by the socio-economic dominating class in an attempt to dehumanize. That's the whole point of the word "reclaiming" that I used. Takes the power back. There's a user above (kitten for the sake of reference) who is Autistic and uses the R-Slur. I'm autistic as well but I don't use it. For kitten, I'm sure there is power in taking the word away from people to apply to themselves.

I can see the argument how there could have been an attempt to reclaim it, much like the n-slur, f-slur, or queer. Not sure if there was actually an attempt or not to reclaim, just to be clear.

The mod log is entirely visible for anyone to view. Anyone can see who we ban and why, comments we remove and why. Posts have been made in the past about mod action that were effective.

Porter doesn't want to continue to make the same kinds of music over and over. He's talked about it a few times in recent interviews.

Birth control has a WIDE range of symptoms. All birth control affects people differently (mostly due to a failure of the companies that produce the medications. Was primarily tested on white men originally... as most medications have been). Not sure that it can be definitively stated that it was entirely the medications fault, but apologies anyway.

I've literally been called lame for being unable to walk after I cracked my pelvis. Just because the majority of the US has a 6th grade reading level doesn't mean words don't mean what they mean. Fallacy fallacy

edit: I'm not saying this user has a 6th grade reading level, but that it affects the rest of the country's understanding of words if we only use slang. Correction, 7th-8th grade

Panopticon and biopower is real. Once you kill the cop in your head you still have surveillance and the cop in everyone else's head to deal with next.
