Look into the justice for janitors movement! There have been unionization successes for contracted janitors!
Rings, like engagement/wedding rings, can take quite a beating. You need a hard stone or it won't really last very long.
I have a lab Ruby in my engagement ring and then lab diamonds around it. The lab Ruby is a good alternative because it's a hard stone! Sapphires and alexandrite are also just as hard and could be good stones in a ring you'd wear everyday.
Deal, I'll eat your tortellini hahaha
People hate tortellini?????
Wow that is incredible!!!! That will save me so much aggravation!!!
Oh yes!!!! I used to think I didn't like tomatoes. It turns out I don't like the giant red tomatoes that have no flavor and have a snot texture. There is a world of tomatoes out there! Go out there and try a bunch of them!
If you still don't like tomatoes, at least you tried hahaha!
They always do the day/time cards and I honestly never thought about possibl patterns. This is so interesting!!!
Hahaha fantastic movie!
People laugh when I tell them this but it's definitely Muppet Treasure Island. I love the muppets, I love the music, I love pirate movies, and Tim Curry. I could have just said Tim Curry and I feel like that would have been enough but it's really every aspect of the movie. It's PERFECT.
Ugh I totally feel it. I have a PhD in sociology... sociology. If another person tells me that my research is just my opinion or that they have a one off anecdotal story that disproves any research I talk about, I might throw up on them. It's very difficult to be civil. But I try my best to educate and remain calm.
Hello! I've been using Lemmy for about 2 months now (since the reddit disaster).
I've been trying to find an instance that would be a good fit for me and I'm in Ohio and I just thought this would be the best fit!
I'm not sure how to overcome those hurtles. But check out the SEIU website. That's the union that organized the justice for janitors movement. I know that they're currently working on unionizing other marginalized employees across the country (like adjunct faculty). I'm sure there are resources on their website.
