Cool. You know that the majority of people have no clue what that even is, and that wouldn’t apply to those folks.

Anyway Congratulations on having a nice investment piece for your audio enjoyment

Leave it to a gators fan to paint their gun safety/ hunter orange and not see the problem with it.

I grew up on RuneScape and BBC programming, so I’ve been exposed to both formats for a long time (really fucked me up in spelling). I couldn’t say why August 9th sounds more natural, but it’s probably because most irl folks around me use it. The 9th of August didn’t sound bad, just more artificial, and it’s probably because my exposure to that spoken out was mostly media and pop culture.

I keep a place for everything, and everything in its place. My download folder is cleaned regularly, usually right when I download the file I move it to it’s appropriate place. Sometimes it still fills up with old installers or what have you, if it is a hard to get installer like for old devices, old games, or niche hardware I store it in a safe place on my encrypted cloud, otherwise if it is new software or frequently updated I just delete it after I’m done.

Yeah, there are algorithms, but it is nothing like Reddit, YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, etc with a curated feed based on psychological manipulation to drive further engagement and habit forming infinite doom scrolling scenarios that people have colloquially referred to as “The Algorithm”.

One does not sub to “The Algorithm”, it is ever present with or without your consent and whether you are signed in or not, that’s why if you sign out of YouTube it will show a mostly generic front page, but with little inconsistencies with generic front page tailored to the most likely users most likely to engage with content.

If we want to be obtuse and pretend that we didn’t know exactly what we were talking about, then yes, lemmy does include math solution procedures in it’s code base.

Blotches as in patchy growth or blotches as in skin discoloration?

I have no idea how they handle it, but most of the people who have talked about having trouble used tools to overwrite comments then delete them before they got rolled back multiple times. If it was that simple the well known best practice that people have already followed wouldn’t need to be redone again and again because theoretically you edited the comment twice already and the original content should be unrecoverable, yet it still appears to be rolled back to 2 states prior by the complaining parties.

I’m running Linux full time now, but I kinda wish I had kept that MacBook for asahi as a war driver .

And way more private by accepting Monero and requiring no registration, but they don’t have solutions for my Calandar, Cloud Drive, email with custom domain, etc. hence “drop in google replacement”.
