Hey everyone! I'm looking if any of you know any artists that share similitude with the style and aesthetics of 'modest by default' with heavely-modified sample music and slow-style electronic music. Maybe even conceptual albums or a place to find music of this kind.

This Saturday and Sunday, the 20th and 21st, the Libertarian Socialist Organization held the second session of the First Congress of the OSL "Juan Carlos Mechoso" - in homage to the historic militant of the Uruguayan Anarchist Federation, who died in 2022. The event in São Paulo brought together delegations from the organization's nuclei, which operate in different regions of Brazil.

After the first session, which laid the foundations of the OSL and launched our organization on July 8 and 9 last year, this second stage advanced the organization's internal workings and the militants' political training.

The 1st Congress of the OSL will have its next and final session later this year when the organization's program will be finalized. We left the meeting with more strength and energy to continue building popular struggles in the country with combativeness and class independence!

For Social Revolution and Libertarian Socialism! Long live the OSL!

Are you in need of Politics 101? Do you need more clarification on what is what in politics?

I suggest you check the lectures from this great YouTube channel called "WHAT IS POLITICS?" Since he can explain some fundamental concepts in an easy-to-understand manner.

If you are entirely new to the subject, follow the order of the videos since it is essential to set the ABC right, and that begins by clarifying that, in this topic, it is necessary to have words with meaning. Something you will see clash with everyday uses of words.

Here are all his current videos in order:

Anyway, hope this can help you guys solve some important questions.

Best of luck 🫰

This is a really nice introduction. Even covers the topic from the widest lenses possible, I like it to introduce a completely newbie to the ecological collapse.

Thanks for sharing 😊

Fighting those structures and keeping the new society together will surely be the biggest challenge once it begins.

Still, figuring that out is part of the puzzle. There are some ideas from historical movements and checking today's still living libertarian socialism movements. If something is for sure, figuring that out will require a lot of mental power, research, and creativity from the movement.

It's a good thing we live in the internet era. 🤜🤛

I agree that external and internal motivators are essential to change behavior. And to support your point, that's part of why anarchists who join social movements try to foster the use of social force and self-managed organization to serve as "revolutionary gymnastics." The idea is to help others gain confidence in their ability to change the world by changing their social and economic circumstances via political conflict. It is easier to foster a culture and politics of mutual aid when it works!

Also, the issue with the power vacuum is super important to cover. Anark has already covered that in a video. Based on the movement's history, the horizontal armed forces work, but working towards the social insertion and weaponry necessary to cover that area is challenging. If not the most difficult part.

In the sense of rules, I don't know where that topic is covered in English in the sense of anarchy perspective to the law. Do you have anything that covers that topic? So far I've found the work of Anarquismo frente al derecho that covers the concept of contracts vs law and the historical perspectives of the classics. It throws some topic of "anarchism and justice".

Take care friend 👋

Hello friend, first of all: good job at approaching the subject with that disposition. 👍

I agree with the good people over here: action is key. I ended up becoming an especifista anarchist by helping out in social movements. The political position is pretty much based in your beliefs (that should of course, I argue, be guided by reason and evidence).

To find one's way through practice is important. Your actions will be informed by theory, but having courage, patience and solidarity is mostly forged in the fire of praxis. I became to trust in mutual-aid and the power of self-management that way.

You already seem to be on the anti-authoritarian side of the talk, in that sense, you'll find many perspectives here that can throw you some light.

Well, hope this helps out friend. Take care and ¡Viva la anarquía! 🙂

I agree, The tone of the conversation is already charged with aggression. And knowing how emotions on the internet go, not engaging is the best option.
