If they did not read him his Miranda rights, that could be enough by itself to basically throw everything out.

Matey, stop commenting on things you've only seen on tv. Reading someone their rights is only done under specific circumstances, and only applies to certain evidence associated with those circumstances.

Anyone who cares to learn can read about it here in the excellent illustrated guide to the law.

I wonder how they reacted to the Deep Throat.

spoilerI am so sorry, everyone, but I couldn't bring myself to say the more hilarious/nasty comment: "How did they handle Deep Throat?"

so instead they bribed lots of game developers to make things Epic exclusive.

Fuck Epic. I just lost the ability to play rocket league because they bought the developers, ripped it off of steam, and now force you to agree to some wickedly invasive TOS to have an epic account.

I've been on a 'retro' kick recently, and big-mech time has rolled in.

There's a game that I cannot remember the name of, but played at a friend's house like one time and I still remember how insane it was (at the time). The premise that I can remember is either 'big mechs fighting kaiju' or 'big mechs fighting other mechs in a war,' but the twist was that it wasn't from the perspective of the cockpit or third person over the shoulder. I remember you had to run around the city (I remember something like an elevated train platform) with your human character to get a visual of the fight, and then you controlled your mech while looking at it from your little human perspective. The mech fighting felt slower paced, almost like controlling a really giant construction wrecking machine. I think it was mid 00s, and maybe the xbox?

Who are these people working at "DOGE" anyway? Is it that fresh high school graduate kid? Are they still doing the "80 hour weeks" without pay?

People you know online know your address or you know their address? Freaky as shit. My IRL friends barely know my address.

It's amusing how things you never expect to be seen by others suddenly go intercontinental because your company likes them. I have a friend who retired from her corporate job about 15 years ago. She had an excel document (that I guess became some sort of super document, I dunno, I'm not into that sort of stuff), and it worked so well for her work that it became the company standard for a gigantic multinational corporation (they're one of the ones you always hear involved in US wars), and whatever she did couldn't be changed once she left.

That means she occasionally still gets contacted about her mildly suggestive name for the file. It references testicles and corporate greed in one go round.

Maybe I'm crazy or out of touch, but I've never asked these questions... because all of them but #6 and #7 should have been in the information given out long before I even get to the interview. Two/Five should at least be addressed by someone selling the company to you during the interview.

Six could be worded a bit better, because the interviewer is already going to have to clarify with you what pressure and laid back look like to you, and seven is probably better once the negotiation starts after the offer is begun.

They also do 'wipe.' Quite often, actually. I have seen just about every variety of mammal that I've observed for longer than a few hours lick their bum clean.

It's been a long time since I had to deal with texas laws about firearms, but I think there is a clause about having a handgun/firearm while in commission of another crime. Yup, here's the relevant one. Then there's the plate one which is what triggers that 'other than... Class C' part of the first one, since having a fictitious plate is a Class B.

So basically, the seizure they're doing is legal, although as we all know, *cough cough*, legal ain't always right.

I mean, how do we know the sister is an idiot? Posting bond for a family member is understandable. Unless they're violent or dangerous, and frankly, this sovcit doesn't seem like that. A fool, and suckered in by some real hucksters who are hawking him a product that will hurt him, but not a danger.

It's going to be a zoom call. Though it would be hilarious if the governor actually hated CEOs, got them all in one place, and tried to consistently leak the info ahead of time.
