Since fionna and cake are gender-swapped finn and jake, and the villain 'wants to erase them'... im hoping this will be awesomely trans positive
For me, pet semetary was very disturbing as an examination of a parent's grief. But kinda underwhelming as a supernatural afterlife story. Dont get me wrong, still loved it, but yeah the build up is way more harrowing than the pay-off
Its not literal. Its just poking fun at the fact that culture-war-conservatives are boycotting more and more things for dumb reasons
Apparently 'peggle-like rouge-likes' are a thing. So thats been a fun time for me
Fable 2 had a mechanic where your character would get fatter if they ate too many pies, and it affected how attractive villagers found you, iirc
I agree, it would be cool to see that kind of thing expanded and implemented with modern resources
What a stupid, stupid game (that i played through like 8 times)
I dont know enough about hormones and biochemistry to have a valid opinion on trans sports, but i'm 100% sure that the vast majority of criticism and debate is in bad faith by transphobes who never gave a damn about women's sport before
Question: posts from communities hosted on lemmy.world are still showing up on all. Is this just like, not kicked in yet? Or have i completely misunderstood what this means? The fediverse can be confusing :/
Great read. The present community owes a lot to those before us, but this also reminds us that its still the same fight.
Highlighting the existance of trans and gender non-conforming people prior to the modern day visibilty is important. So is remembering that the backlash is nothing new; and an attack on any letter is an attack on all letters
Yeah thats what i do 🤷♀️
Like others have said, bi = m+f attraction whereas pan = attraction regardless of gender or sex
In practice theyre often interchangable; most bi folk are open to attraction to NB and trans people etc. Pan is just a way to include that in the identity specifically
Ive struggled a lot with getting into new music. Its just too easy to be in a comfortable loop of what you know and are used to, I guess.
This year I've started a personal project where i listen to at least one unique album a day, normally 2 or 3. I've discovered so much music, both old stuff thats 'new to me', and recent releases. Its got me into a few genres that i never listened too, as well.
Plus, theres so many bands that I 'liked' but had actually really only known the hits, like AC/DC for example, and its fun to actually listen through an album for once and get to know them better!
So yeah thats for sure something I'd recommend if you have the time for it
One of my favourite books of all time, no doubt!
