Have you seen the ai girlfriends/boyfriends communities? I genuinely think the rate of chatgpt induced psychosis is really high, even if it doesn't lead to death

There a specific spot in Texas where you're guaranteed one MAGA guy, there are other places with more sympathetic judges that can be chosen.

A nationwide injunction may not be issued as easily, but the precedence does still matter in a case like this.

All Google would have to do is check what key an app is using on a user's device and they can invalidate it. Someone made a youtube vanced 2 (not revanced)? Google can easily invalidate it for everyone using this process.

Even if I misunderstand how the key works and it's more of a signature, it would mean that if you try to download an older app then it could fail bc the signature expired and isn't maintained anymore. You also run into the same issue with not being renewed if Google chooses.

My point is it could effectively be a side loading killer, maybe not right away but the point of sideloading is the independence which this takes away

The fact that several species in Australia are now extinct kinda shows cats do harm bird populations. Cats are usually an invasive species and hundreds of them in an area can decimate local wildlife. Overcrowding only kill birds when there are too many, while cats will always kill birds. There are definitely places where it matters more, like on small islands, but in general any invasive species can massively shift ecosystems.

Bambu Printers Discussion (self.3dprinting)
submitted 1 month ago by JPAKx4 to c/3dprinting@lemmy.world

Tldr: Did Bambu address the issue, and should I look into updating firmware now.

For context, I got a Bambu Printer just before they released the changes to improve "security" and have been on old firmware since. I was looking at the Bambu Wiki and saw this page that indicated that all of the important LAN functions would be opened up. Unfortunately it requires being on LAN only mode, but I've been on LAN only since January because of their changes so it doesn't effect me much.

I'm not dependent on their cloud features as I am home a substantial amount of the time and I have a server for when I'm not (to use home assistant or wtv). From my point of view the developer mode seems to address my issues, but I wanted to know some other people's thoughts on the whole controversy and how it was addressed by Bambu.

About 1000 people came out, for every 1 person with a middle finger, thumbs down, or trump paraphernalia there were 50 people cheering and honking! Really positive experience.

US question, but why don't Democrats just vote for impeachment basically every day? Whether it's for the Jack Smith findings, the unwillingness to hold up the 14th amendment, whatever. Like, is there a statute of limitations for impeachment? Is there a limited number of crimes valid for it?

Even if it never succeeded, it would send a message that he needs to be careful and if he makes too many Republicans mad he could lose his job.

Let's be 100% clear, all of these cars with "smart" features are collecting your data and selling it. Insurance companies are also buying this information and using it to raise premiums if they determine you a "bad driver." Also this could reveal info such as where you live if anyone is determined enought depending on the info if stores (such as geolocation data).

Basically I'm saying wrap your car in tinfoil

I was talking to my dad yesterday and he talked about how he dual booted windows and Linux in his college days. I immediately left to download Ubuntu, I feel so dumb for forgetting it's an option. I literally only use windows so I can play Fortnite with friends. PSA: you can have both Linux and Windows, or you can use a vm in Linux. Be (mostly) free from Microsoft's clammy hands.
