Simple mail server (lemmy.world)
submitted 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) by Humorless4483@lemmy.world to c/selfhosted@lemmy.world

Hello,

I want to deploy a simple mail server so that it can be used for users to register themselves or reset passwords, etc.

Is there an easy one to deploy (in docker if possible) ?

I use Linux because I care about privacy.

You use Linux because you want to rice.

We’re not the same.

As a beginner myself I would recommend you installing portainer (a gui for docker) and if you need compose files I have them for all of my services on my GitHub.

Android and chromeos are as much Linux as macOS and iOS are FreeBSD

As someone who hosts my own dns server I can confirm that I can see everything that is accessed but the not the whole url, I can see the base url like if you access YouTube, I’ll see that you pinged YouTube.com, what you received exactly I don’t know but I can tell that you went on YouTube.

Revanced is the stock YouTube client, it doesn’t use an alternative backend

It’s normal that you can’t find the library, you have to compile it from source.

Why ? They could just be giving access to different guest networks on different vlans.
