I grew up in a religious sect that believed this. I was a young earth Creationist but never bought into the 6-7,000 year age of earth variety. That seemed obviously forced to me. I didn’t think the genealogies proved much of anything because they aren’t internally consistent . I also believed in evolution, just not as a theory of origin.
That said, even as someone who could accept a 20,000 year age of earth, I never felt the need to interrupt others in public. I recognized it wasn't going to convince anyone and was just a dick move. I think most Creationists also view these people as weird assholes.
I think similar thoughts toward those who harbor these opinions about Creationists.
40% of Americans are Creationists. If they were all as you say, these things would happen to all of us all day, every day. But they don’t because most Creationists are capable of nuanced thinking and don’t stereotype everyone who disagrees with them.
