If you open https://pornlemmy.com in an incognito browser window, you might be a little surprised.

It's also good when you don't want to poop for three days.

but I love its privacy focused aspects

Having worked at /e/OS, on the microG part, I can tell you that the privacy focus is way less than whatever you think it is. Also, the companies (yes, plural) behind /e/ or whatever it's called now are French, and the French laws regarding government and intelligence agencies access to personal data are lax. By using /e/ and their services, you are not passing data to the US, you are not passing data to China, but rather you are passing data to France and the /e/ team - which if you search around, you might find out that they don't have a really good street cred.

Meaning no offense to Lemmy devs, Lemmy still has some things to iron out until they can safely say "we're at version 1.0" - it's in beta, being battle tested as we speak, and it's not afraid to push feature breaking changes. For example, the latest version, 0.18, fixed a very annoying bug that pushed new posts in real-time (websockets) when using the web interface, but disabled captcha. Jerboa, the main Android client, pushed an update that removed compatibility with Lemmy below 0.18. lemmy.world, who competes with lemmy.ml for the first two instances by number of users, refused to upgrade to 0.18 because it needs captcha to ward off bots - now you can't use Jerboa with lemmy.world, and the web interface has the bug with new posts. So, all this rant should give you the idea that Lemmy is far from production ready, and it's not a desirable choice, yet.

I've been the engineering manager for a Twitch clone that got sold for the tech part a couple of years ago - check your DM, sent a personal link, you can use the email there if you want me to help.

Aktually it was Putin, because he'll walk (to the underground train station), take a train, and do all this while not enjoying it.

Putin put on big daddy diapers and ran off on a plane when the march was hundreds of km away. Not exactly a power move.

Depends on what your personal definition of work is.

When I'm coding, focusing on just one deep problem, and the world around me is quiet, and I have food ready, and no one is bothering me, I might be able to do 6 hours at most. Afterwards, it starts to smell like fried brain.

When I'm coding light tasks, 3-4 hours, maybe 5 on a good day when I'm rested and content.

When I'm doing managerial tasks..... I've done 16 hours of continuous work, but it's "social" work, meaning no heavy logic problems, but rather relying on my personality and intuition to solve issues or juggle tasks for others.
