It is profoundly disturbing how much social media information the media just.... dumped out there. This could even be the wrong dude!

I would scour my presence from the internet if I thought it even mattered. I'm sure there are mirrors of everything I've ever posted or liked going all the way back to the early 2000s. Even if I deleted absolutely everything (that I could find) and 100% degoogled it probably wouldn't matter at all.

This is a very depressing article.

Too bad it isn't a real tweet.

I watched a documentary on oil execs a while ago (can't remember the name, sorry :( ). Someone asked an exec why he wasn't giving 50 of the 60 billion dollars he owned to charity or government programs and he literally said "but how am I going to feed my family" without a shred of irony.

You were being funny, but the billionaire class actually believes this.

Someone else in another thread said their friend inherited a billion dollars and is the hardest working person they've ever met and I honestly couldn't help but laugh out loud.

I'm fucking enraged that we live in a system that lets dragons horde mountains of gold while their nextdoor neighbors starve to death or are buried in medical debt that is mathematically impossible to get out of. And idiots like you are over here going, "but guys, Smaug is nice to meeeeee". You being OK with any of it means you're 100% oblivious to the context that this conversation happens in.

Communism

Oh no! ANYTHING but THAT! Could you imagine living in a world where people don't die because they can't afford insulin? I shudder just thinking about it. Thank God those disgusting poors die like they're supposed to, that's the American Way™

Everyone who is upset about this fails to comprehend that the world has fundamentally changed since then and Americans literally voted trump into office.

Either that or they're paid trolls. Hard to tell sometimes.
