I recognized this immediately. I hope Kyle "The Yellow Dart" Smith is doing okay
Congratulations on 1 year! I don't read every day, but I'm glad when I do. Quite a commitment! Thanks so much for your contribution!

We really should come up with a title for people who held a formal title but are pieces of shit. Or maybe just make it relevant, e.g. Convicted Felon and Twice-Impeached President Donald Trump, Disgraced Murderous Coward Adolph Hitler, Dictator And Dickbag Vladimir Putin, etc.
Very "if we pay our workers a living wage, we'll go out of business!!!" vibes.
I was a huge Star Wars fan before Disney took over, and haven't liked anything they've done with it. Most people agree, with 2 exceptions: Andor, which I admittedly haven't watched yet, and...Rogue One
I don't think Rogue One is much better than the other Disney Star Wars drivel, but I'm apparently the only person in the universe who thinks that. I've watched it three times and just don't get why people think it's good.
Apply Directly To The Forehead.
The old C&H comics are so inconsistent. Sometimes I just read it and "yeah, I get the joke, but meh" or "that was dark then but aged very poorly," and sometimes I read it, then 2 seconds later I burst out laughing. I don't really why this one is funny, as it's literally just shitting on someone and then subverting expectations, but it had me giggling a lot.
Fantastic movie, one of the underrated Ghibli ones! Great animation and storytelling! Also, I love that while there's some vague "oh it's because he was disillusioned with stuff" in outside documents, they basically never say in the movie why he's a pig. Everyone just kind of accepts it.
My parents, who are in their sixties have...one of those? Which is actually pretty good. Dream small, friends!
Honestly, when Dropout started, I liked pretty much every show. Now they've been adding a lot of new shows, and I'm not as thrilled with all of them. But that's okay, and supporting a service where I still like most of the content, plus ensuring that the performers and staff get paid well and treated well is worth it at $5 a month (with an annual subscription).
Even if this did affect current subscribers, I'd still gladly pay the increase, and I'm going to continue recommending it to friends. New subscribers still have the huge backlog of all previous content to work through!
I had a neighbor when I was growing up that always had this stuffed bear in a bedroom window. I didn't know them at all, but I would see it heading to the school bus stop. Several years went by, and I was now in high school and driving to school, but I went for a walk and saw the bear was missing, and it made me a little sad, too.
I mentioned it to my mom, who of course went over and asked this random person she had never met about it. Turns out that the bear was her daughter's favorite childhood stuffed animal. She had just graduated college, the first member of her family to do so, and had finally moved out to get a well-paying job in another state. My mom told me how proud the woman had sounded. At the time I was just like, "oh, okay," but thinking about it makes me a bit sentimental about how joyful it was that the bear was finding a new home because of an incredible success.
