No.1 Apparently not present on uBlock Origin, which makes it not a problem for me (though it's shite that they are doing it anyway). I don't use YouTube that often anyways.

No.2 You are not loosing a lot - it's most likely some crappy video about a guy slipping on a banana peel or some shit like this - 99.9% you are not missing on much :D

It really breaks my mind. And the actual biggest progress is in the last 150 years. And how things accelerated in the last 30..

As in the title - its on sale on all consoles at the moment for a very good price and I was wondering what console should I get it on. I like the idea of playing it on the go and I thought as it looks like it should run no difference what console im playing it. But I heard some mixed reviews regarding the performance on Switch.

Hi troops, I'm trying to get photos files from my dad's old HDDs. We no longer have access to any old PCs to acutally plug them in, so I was wondering if you could point me to some sort of USB converter that would allow me to grab files from them. My cousin has a PC but it's a newer model with more up to date connection to HDD/SSD. Disks in question:

Many thanks! D

Couple of weeks ago I finally launched the store, I was working on for a couple of months now. From building the website and production to marketing and accounting, I had to do it all on my own. I actually started working on it during covid but never had time to finish it until recently. I hope you like it :)

Give me a like and follow and any of my social media pages - it really helps a lot.

There is a giveaway hapenning on the IG as well, if you are interested!

Any ideas where I could a hold of a carton eggnog in a physical store? Online is pretty expensive and would have to count the shipping too.

This is just ridiculous - prosecuting Yaroslavl Hunka makes sense, as he himself was a part of a nazzi military outpost.

Prosecuting or using it as a political tool against Chrystia Freeland makes absolutely no sense as it was her grandfather (!) who was at involved in the nazzi business.

Blame granddaughter for grandfather's sins...

I don't know what's going on politically in Canada, but this is just pathetic in my opinion.

Edit:

Michael Chomiak, Freeland’s maternal grandfather whom she’s repeatedly cited as a political inspiration

The link to her essay mentions her grandfather a couple of times, but never "cites as a political inspiration". Just to give a historical context.

Terrible piece of journalism

That's a stretch I would say :D

Saying burkinis are dumb is a really dumb thing to say.

For some bucket hats are dumb, but some people wear them. Not your place to judge. Also, it allows people of certain believes to have an equal access to commodities like going to a beach and go for a swim in a public.

In this regards, I would say, they are pretty smart.

I would 100% advocate to defedarate

It's not app specific - that's just how the Lemmy code works at the moment.

For this specific reason, Lemmy integrated search feature is fundamentally broken at the moment, so you should be using https://lemmyverse.net/

When I first joined my instance I couldn't see any Xbox communities so I created one. It got a little following, but then I found out there were already two communities literally called Xbox but no one from my instance joined before, so I couldn't see them.

Some say he is held against his will in The European Organization for Nuclear Research in Switzerland, commonly known as CERN. Apparently, his sacrifice made a a giant leap in the field of Condensed Dark Matter.

Human Right activists are fighting for his immediate release, both from the imprisonment and for his bowels.

I think I'll stay here. I like the prospect of building this ting together and shaping it the way we want it. Just that they caved in this one time doesn't mean it won't happen in the future. I would rather invest my time and effort into something I can stand behind and agrees with my believes. I like that it's open source and decentralised.

Main thing that needs to be addressed with Lemmy/kbin is the mobile app situation which is well...not great at the moment
