This needs to be added to every news report about anyone named. People knew about the guy for a long time, and they still did business with him because money and line go up.

I should just spend the next 3-years watching that on repeat instead of the news.

This should say something. Instead, his fans will basically say, “that’s why I love him!” Completely missing the joke they just made at their own expense. Or getting the joke and not caring. Which, itself, is also a joke at their expense.

But then line don’t go up and fail! Can’t fail!

This guy needs to be getting as much use as shocked picachu these days.

I read all the Jack Reacher books a couple years ago, and one of the fascinating things about the character is his aversion to owning things. In some of the books, he talks about it a little and it’s an interesting insight to that worldview. I think they kind of stopped talking about it in newer books, and the character has gotten kind of less interesting because of it. At one point, he inherits a house, and that seems to become a minor trauma for him!
