I know bespoke synth. It's very nice, but at least I need some controller. Moreover, I don't like programming for doing music. I'm looking for something faster. Also, I found it a little buggy, with random crashes here and there. I think that for those kind of stuffs it's better staying on reliable software like puredata and derivatives

Yeah, I agree. I feel both the two problems, complexity and molteplicity.

But then I would also need to buy controllers and so on...

I studied 12 years, I don't want that someone's else algorithm writes the voicing for me ๐Ÿคฃ

The thing with grooveboxes is also that they provide integrated controllers. With bitwig, can I use the keyboard as a full controller? Can I use touchpad? Everything is more complex and requires more energy

[-] Capricorn@lemmy.today 2 points 5 days ago

I tried bitwig, but it looked too complex for what I'm looking for, too many options, too many stuffs i nthe interface, too much time to create my setup, too many

I mean, in the liberist economy, people are lost among infinite alternatives, in the illusion that the ability to choose is the happiness.

OP-1

mmm, I should have said "cheap" ๐Ÿ˜‚

[-] Capricorn@lemmy.today 1 points 5 days ago

Yeah, this is kind of an effect of liberist market

Oh god, I made a lots of posts and nvere specified "cheap" ๐Ÿ˜‚

Hello,

Once upon a time, I was a musician. I took my classical guitar degree 10 years ago. I studied a little of music composition and experimented with computer music. But today, I don't do music anymore. Every time I try to do music, I spend the time looking for synthesizers, creating setups, and so on, and it ends I never play. So, I'm looking for some device that gives me an out-of-the-box experience with synths, effects, and loops. I would especially like to:

  • loop audio input
  • play with external or integrated keyboard
  • apply effects
  • use synth and samples
  • programming the sounds and synths

Thanks!

I tried solo.ai, the new service made by mozilla for building your website. I couldn't finish the process because it requires me to disable uBlock.

By mozilla. Full of google's spyware.

Good night.

In Italy (and in most countries I've visited), waste sorting typically involves two distinct categories for compost and residual waste.

Question: Why is compost disposed of in a separate collection rather than with residual waste? Are there any environmental differences if it decomposes together with dry waste versus separately? Is it a matter of disposal efficiency, or is it simply another administrative complexity?

Remember, it's Microsoft... it can't be normal

Anyone knows how to add a key-binding in konsole that binds a key combination to a sequence of actions?

Maybe, this could be achieved via a script?

In my case, I just want a key-binding to switch to a certain tab and send the command !! (last used command). This is super-useful while developing. I can do the first action with standard konsole keybinding and the second action using a qdbus command. I don't know how to put them together...
