I learned it as: Why do seagulls fly by the sea? Because if they flew by the bay they'd be bagels.

I think the flow is nicer and leads the listener down the path "logically". Saying bay in the question tips your hand and is less of a surprise.

But still one of my favorite classics.

That is one hell of a journey and double hell of a knife. One day I hope to be even a fraction of the man you are with that knife.

Gamepad... I just use it wired because it was an easier solution. Like I said, sometimes things that should be settings become problems you need to solve.

That's just part of the Linux game.

Its not really a deal breaker to me for the other benefits I get, but it really can be annoying. And more annoying that on average the Linux community doesn't really acknowledge this.

I can completely understand an average person not wanting to deal with stuff like this, especially since its so inconsistent across distros.

For me its the nuance of things.

Like quality of life settings. Turn Bluetooth on automatically at boot. Yeah, you can do it, but not by looking at settings and turning that option on. No, you need to recognize that's a problem then search for an answer, determine which of the 2 or 3 answers you find are right, then do it. Is it a deal breaker? Absolutely not. But I don't want to "solve problems" for every thing I want to do.

My other gripes would be lack of software support. As great as some apps are, others there are no support for Linux.

the ground truth

Appropriate.

As an avid coffee drinker I recently (in the past 2-3 years) started spending more money on coffee. I'm no snob or chasing that perfect cup, but I quite enjoy my coffee.

I don't regret it. Yes, I could break down how much money I'm losing by that switch but what isn't as easy to measure is the enjoyment of my coffee. Sitting in the morning relaxing with a few cups is important to me. Is it the coffee? No. But its one part of something that is immeasurable.

Oh yeah, hardware prices are what's preventing HL3 from coming out. Sure.

Their logic is: Workplaces aren't buying copilot licenses So make a good price on personal licenses

If price is the barrier, maybe bring down that $30 license fee for business (which is on top of the M365 license) to see if adoption grows.

This is not going to win any friends in the business world and will most likely result in blanket bans of AI tools in the workplace to counteract this.

I mean, if the company doesn't think you're worth it to show up and see if you are right for the position, then how crappy are they going to treat you when you work for them? It's a red flag and saving job hunters time by eliminating that company as an option.

I've used Bitwarden as my password manager and authenticator for a long time. I've been testing Pass and I really like it overall.

But the thing I realized is that in order to sign in to my Proton account, I need to provide an OTA code. No problem when I'm using a separate password manager/authenticator. But when Pass is my authenticator I don't have access to the OTA code (if I were to log out of all devices).

What are others doing in this situation?

The stupider part is that it would be easier to stack out from the other direction.

There are 8 pieces of wood @ 1.5" each = 12" Studs are 16" on center.

So to stack from the right would be 2 pieces to be in the same place.

You can even see the gray box that opens to the wall behind it. That is attached to the stud on the right...its that close. But here I go applying logic to crazy.

Skype is dead. Introducing: CoPilot Calls

Seriously though, Skype is a good example of how MS butchers products. I mean, I never loved Skype but it worked and was the defacto video calling platform of the masses. If they had their shit together, even a little bit, then Zoom would never have taken the market. I don't really like zoom either, but its better than Skype.

I'm looking for a guitar tuner app that is FOSS/private in nature.

I saw one called tunerly, but figured I'd check here if there are any recommendations.

Hi, new to GrapheneOS and have a basic question.

I set up my phone and users with a pin, then added fingerprints for faster log in.

When I switch users, I am prompted with the pin. If I swipe down to lock the screen, I then can log in with fingerprint. Can't I set it up to go straight to fingerprint?
