Oregon you don't dispute the fact that he pulled his gun and that's why he got shot. So say the police already had their guns pulled then would he be justified if he had shot them? I already acknowledged the whole set up with the plain clothes thing was sketch. It doesn't matter if you are in a uniform or you are in a shirt and shorts. If you pull a gun on someone the intention is that you are going to use it so that's that.

Doug Holland so supporting the police is trolling? Are you one of those genius defund the police folks. That has worked out so well. It's really amazing and I'm still trying to figure it out. So when there are less police then there is more crime. It's a really puzzling phenomenon.

This whole story seems like an outlier there aren't homeless people living in campers all over the US. It does seem sketchy about being plain clothes and the ruse they used. The largest factor though is as many people have pointed out on both sides, is he pulled and pointed a gun. You can argue all day that he didn't shoot and he was just defending his brother. Any person with any firearms training knows you don't point a gun unless you are willing to fire at whoever or whatever that is. A gun is a deadly weapon so as soon as someone points a gun at a person then they are threatening them. End of debate about that. Like I said the lead up to it is questionable but he would not have been shot if he didn't pull a gun which would imply he intended to shoot them. Just like most "questionable" police shootings. Why did the person pull a gun? They intended to use it. I'm so sick of the police brutality speech. Are there incidents of police brutality yes. They are actually few and far between. The vast majority are people with criminal records and then they pull a weapon on the police. It's amazing this is actually a story since he's white. Every year there are more white people shot by police than any other race but funny enough you don't hear about that. This obviously wasn't about race it was just a series of mistakes. In conclusion if you pull a weapon on police let alone a gun then why are you surprised you got shot.

From Yahoo, definitely we should take the former search engine as a reputable news source. X (Twitter) has lost money because he is enforcing free speech which the main stream doesn't like so obviously advertisers who are scared pull from it. It's so obvious when it was Twitter and you had whatever leftist pouring propaganda it's all ok but the second that a different opinion gets put on there then it's garbage. This is America words are words and we should be able to have conversations.

He argued about the financial side of it, well hey this is a capitalist system. To be able to continue fighting and doing what we're doing you have to make money. Obviously the Daily Wire would need to make money that's almost ridiculous to even mention. He talks big but doesn't really practice.

I used to enjoy Steven Crowder but then after he attacked the Daily Wire who had been his friends and help him grow, Then offered him a deal to keep him going, I wrote him off.

Haven't had any responses yet so either you are not sure of your position because it has no actual backing or more than likely because this is lemmy which I am new to appears to be more European because half the memes are in a different language. You have the CNN, MSNBC, typical view of America... Not your fault that's all you are shown. It's funny I read Bbc to get a different view on things because my media is corrupted. So it's interesting to read an article from a different country and see how it compares to what is put out in the home.

Oh the Internet... Wonderful place. I don't feel like I was hateful or said anything groundbreaking. Yet got some very strong responses and negative points. Everyone seems to have forgotten this is America where people can have different views on things whether that is on cultural, political or whatever issue. This is the best country in the world but people have done a good job of dividing everyone. How can this be a horrible racist country when thousands of minorities risk life and limb to come here every year? When we had a war to end slavery. Also with everything granted in the Constitution and Bill of rights no country even comes close. You want to talk about homophobic, there are still many countries where gay people are killed and even hung. There are many minorities whether that is race, sex or whatever that have done very well in America, because it's based on what you do. So if a CEO wants to donate to whatever he believes in that's his right because I guarantee you there were lots of CEOs who donated on the other side. So I agree with everything Jeff Bezos believes or does? I'm sure I don't but I use Amazon because I like the service, that's my choice. So if you want to be a dick and rip me then do that it's your right. I will still have my opinion because it's mine.

This is really just a rip on the CEO because of his political beliefs. I imagine if he donated money to some sort of left wing thing there would be no story. Just another tech person doing what they do. It's so amazing how divided everyone is nowadays, always looking for some reason to hate someone. That goes for left, right and center!
