I like how one of the background characters in the party room was wearing the stupid headset everyone got addicted to in TNG
halo music
Also at 13:27 when Boimler is putting the canisters away I swear they are using the same sound effect as "half life 2 crowbar hitting metal.wav"
T'Lyn's delivery with her lines is also fantastic
This is probably a result of that dumb crypto currency that uses proof of storage and people were just using Dropbox for it
I'll say it, the adult gorn, in those space suits look awesome, I'm a sucker for more animalistic races in star trek
"Man sure hope no one else was alive on the saucer section before I viking funeral'd it" ~ Nurse Chapel
What the heck, this episode must have taken so much effort like 20+ minutes of singing + music (and the writing of the songs as well), and in a good half of those requires choreographed dancing as well, the a capella version of the intro, and a few orchestra versions in the credits
I was grinning almost the entire time for this episode, it was just....fun! And it moved the plot along too! (Although you kinda need to with so few episodes in a season)
I love this as well! And doing fun stuff with the star trek brand intro as well, I hope they continue both of those in the future
I think it's s1e4 of lower decks
I liked this episode, and Uhura's futuristic looking pillow
Makes me nervous about the....safety of the ship if one guy who I don't think was even supposed to be posted on the enterprise (like Ramon was part of the refinery crew before Enterprise got there) was able to cut the power (no backups?) And blow up the nacelle , maybe starfleet should review their backup and security procedures there
Ethan peck looked like he had a blast with this episode, screaming into a towel is a mood
I also enjoyed the "subservient" dad who really just wanted to eat good food and play charades but was shot down :'( but then the captain gave him leftovers with a cool snap :)
Also, as a meta comment, I really dislike the scenes where it's clear they are just I don't of the LED wall. It looks so fake and the actors just stand there in an obviously empty room. Season 1 of SNW had at least one episode of this, and season 1 of the mandalorian did too, and they really need to follow the mandalorian example.abkut having actual physical props in addition to the LED wall to prevent it from looking fake as hell
It's a common trope that the away teams really shouldn't be landing in these planets without any idea what's down there without an alien style hazmat suit and here we go, another example :) I GUESS they get a pass because they were here before and the effects didn't happen because they were not here long enough
also really strange they don't confirm that people were dead? Or try and go back and get their bodies which might have equipment/ com badges /might even be alien (Spock was there and he bleeds green), maybe starfleet shouldn't be so careless about what they leave behind...
The whole theme of the show is the battle of the ideals which work great in the alpha quadrant vs the reality of their situation
