Scavengers Reign. One of the best pieces of sci-fi I've ever seen. They managed to create a world that feels truly alien, and the environment has such complex cause/effect relationships. Highly recommend!

Petition to bring back full qwerty portrait oriented keyboard sliders like this. I miss this hardware style.

I've played all the LIS games and have been a fan of the series since the original released while I was in college.

For me, I think my ranking of the games is as followed:

  1. Before the Storm
  2. Life is Strange
  3. Life is Strange 3
  4. Life is Strange 2

Not including Captain Spirit because it's really more of a companion title and so short. It's a really close tie for me between the original LiS & LiS 3, as I really enjoyed both.

Before the storm was such a surprise for me and I really enjoyed the way they developed the characters & romance in that title, which makes it stand out for me.

Despite my love & enjoyment of the series, I really couldn't get into LiS 2. I played the whole game, but I struggled my way through it. I did not like the characters or the plot, and only finished it out of a hope that the ending would be worth it.

BP. Obvious reasoning.

In all likelihood, there was never an "investigation". It felt like something they said to try to calm some of the anger towards them. I doubt we ever hear any updates on this from LTT.

Adding a good tip in the app is a good way to ensure your order will actually get accepted and picked up quickly. Many drivers decide to take an order based upon the payout they see listed in the app.

Not even a question for me, absolutely teleportation.

I wouldn't need to own a car, never need to pay for plane tickets or any sort of transportation.

I can go anywhere at any time. Live anywhere and then just blink where I want/need to be.

Invisibility doesn't provide nearly the same practical applications. The only useful thing I can think of for invisibility would be to hide inside a bank vault and steal money, but that could technically be achieved via teleportation too.

It's a refugee camp filled with innocent people. No amount of justification or propaganda changes the fact that this was a refugee camp and a high degree of civilian casualties was guaranteed. This is a war crime.

How would one do this? I use ublock origin on Firefox, but I've started seeing the same pop-ups on YouTube the last few days and would love to get rid of them.

It's a pop out windshield shade, yes. Put it in your windshield when you get out and it'll block the sun and keep your car cooler. They're incredibly common, can find a dozen options at any Target, Walmart, etc.

That's unfortunate. I hate seeing this news because it means that all the other streaming platforms are going to follow suit soon, which brings us right back to cable, essentially. Must subscribe to 5 different streaming services each in order to have access to all the programming you want, no more splitting up accounts with friends.

Glad that I just setup a Plex server, looks like I'm gonna need it.

Hey all, hoping some more experienced Proton users might be able to help me out here.

Earlier this week I began the process of switching from Gmail to Proton. I imported the last few months of Gmail messages, set Gmail to forward to Proton for the interim before I can get all my other accounts switched away from that Gmail, and installed the Android proton mail app.

I'm having the following issues:

  • Proton mail, regardless of if I'm in browser or mobile app, keeps reappearing emails that I delete or mark as spam. I'll delete them, then check my inbox again later and there they are again, unread in my inbox. It'll take 6 or 7 attempts sometimes before an email actually stays deleted.

-the Android app is sucking crazy amounts of battery. It's not like I receive an insane amount of daily messages, but yesterday Proton mail sucked 40% of my battery. That's from mostly idle use and deleting a handful of emails. That's it. It seems to be pulling an insane amount of juice in the background.

Anyone know how I can resolve these problems? I want to use proton for their focus on privacy and encryption, but both these issues are deal breakers for me if I can't resolve them.

Thanks in advance!

It's just a UI bug. You're subscribed. Probably doesn't help lemmy has been overwhelmed by new users and activity.

This is probably the rarest vape I own, a Gen 2 black limba JDV.

From posts in their discord, it looks like REFC will be bringing back the JDV soon with some improvements!

One of my more recent acquisitions and an absolute powerhouse, the BAKx!

This was dreamed up by choo at Lamart, and despite its simple design, it's a very strong performer.

The first "good" portable I purchased. Prior to this, I was using a Pax 2, and found myself dissatisfied. I began looking into alternatives, and fell hard down the rabbit hole of artisan vapes. Snagged this merbau P80 in the next Lamart drop, and it's been a steady part of the stable ever since! One of, if not my most used portables.

Spez is continuing to dig his grave with every new interview. The PR team at Reddit needs to learn to keep this guy OUT of the media, he's terrible with damage control.
