The agency said there was no surveillance video footage that provided concrete leads to identify who may have left the baggie in the White House’s guest lobby.

Eh who cares. I'm sure it's not the first time drugs have been there. Willie Nelson says he got high at the WH when Carter was in office.

There are many far more important topics to investigate.

I think people are more upset about it because to them it seems like a double standard based on the political affiliation of the person- and their connections.

[-] Kingofthezyx@lemmy.world 7 points 1 year ago

What person? Whose connections?

What does Hunter Biden have to do with cocaine found in a public area of the White House? What does Hunter Biden have to do with the White House at all? Does he work there?

[-] aidan@lemmy.world 2 points 1 year ago

He's frequently there. But yeah there's no conclusive evidence it's his cocaine. A lot of Republicans do argue it is- and that's who I was talking about feeling it's unfair.

[-] WindInTrees@lemmy.world 11 points 1 year ago

Of course Republicans argue it's his. They're feckless whatabouters.

I mean @Kingofthezyx asked

Aw, good ol Hunter. Just hanging around in the tourist areas, looking to backslide on his recovery, hoping to score some blow in the tourist areas of the WH.

lol, it's just meaningless posturing on the Republican's side. The R politicians think that keeping their voters riled up is good, and they'll babble about anything to keep them angry, ready to empty their wallets, and dead-set on voting R. You don't see them talking about Trump's son's drug use, or Trump himself raping people for that matter. They don't care about the law, governing, or the American people. They care about winning, maintaining power, and exercising that power to pursue their (read: their biggest donor's) agenda.

The Chief Secret Service Agent was asked for comment: sniff we were unable to find any suspects, sniff what's that noise? You hear that? Anyway, it's all good.
