I'm eating ice cream when it's cold out just to spite you

[-] SatansMaggotyCumFart@lemmy.world 14 points 11 months ago

Have you ever fucked a pint of Ben and Jerry’s?

It’s life changing, totally worth the frostbite.

[-] Gullible@sh.itjust.works 9 points 11 months ago

Pounding a pint has never been cooler.

[-] rbesfe@lemmy.ca 3 points 11 months ago

Jeez what a username

If it's below freezing outside and you get a cone, the ice cream will never melt and drip everywhere.

[-] krashmo@lemmy.world 2 points 11 months ago

Unless you touch it with something hot, like maybe your tongue?

I did it yesterday and it was -2c out , I was so jazzed that the local ice cream place was even open (28f for the metric impaired)

You are not half of these people, except if you judge anon for wanting hot coco

[-] lurch@sh.itjust.works 7 points 11 months ago

Actually, a hot beverage makes you cool down in hot weather. I don't do it myself though. People who do that usually use tea.

I've seen and heard this repeated so often but I seriously struggle to believe it.

Yeah sure it burns calories warming cold water up inside your body, but when you chug cold water on a hot day you can literally feel it inside you cooling you down.

Drinking hot drinks on a hot day warms you up further because you're holding a hot cup and sweating and steamy and basically purposefully making yourselt uncomfortable.

(Edited for spelling)

[-] Riven@sh.itjust.works 5 points 11 months ago

You need to live in a dry climate for it to work. The increased sweating more than makes up for the added heat from the tea.

This is some "cold water boils faster" ass shit. No the fuck it doesn't.

[-] Maddie@sh.itjust.works 72 points 11 months ago

Don't ever let anyone shame you for wanting hot chocolate, hot chocolate is goddamn delicious

"Why can't the concession stand keep everything ready year round just in case I want to be treated special?"

[-] Zoboomafoo@lemmy.world 47 points 11 months ago

Because hot water and hot chocolare mix are so hard to keep on hand?

[-] blargerer@kbin.social 30 points 11 months ago

It's 4-chan so who knows what the interaction was actually like or if it even happened, but his stated objection was to how he was treated for asking not for them saying they didn't have it.

[-] don@lemm.ee 2 points 7 months ago

anon makes a peculiar request in a perfectly acceptable way, gets told what he wants isn’t being offered, blows it hilariously out of proportion, then has a meltdown and rants to 4chan about acceptability. anon you fucking idiot lmao
