I heard he didn't renew the contract for Google server hosting and Twitter can't handle the traffic now.
I've seen proof that embedded tweets have no concept of rate limiting, and are DDOSing twitter servers just by trying to load content.
I can't wait until he starts trying to single-handedly provide 100% of Twitter's content, too. Probably by mid-week.
